Waiting an Interview Appointment....

We were approved at the NVC June 10th. They sat on the correct Marriage Certificate for three weeks all the while STILL making sure to send out the rejection emails as they reviewed our documents not once, but twice without the Marriage Certificate that was at their office sitting in some mail pile.

Very Frustrating. Because I am thinking if they would have reviewed said documents with the marriage certificate within said documents I am betting we would have an interview in July.

Anyway, I am wondering what the slim chance is we might be able to have an appointment email sent to us for August. Crazy thinking from an impatient husband?

I have read that the NVC Schedules for appointments the first two weeks of the month. I am hoping and praying that they will set us up soon.

What is the average time frame? We would be in Dominican Republic. I already know that "It depends how full they are" and all that. Could we be waiting several months? I mean the people at the NVC will not tell you anything. I did have a man tell me once looks like it could be July but if not August.

Anyway now that we are at the end it seems I am less patient than before. I was really hoping July as my wife's birthday is in July. Wishful thinking I guess.

I would call the NVC again however the last time I called some woman told me "I dont know why you are calling us, you will know before we do because they send you an email" yeah.... not sure I understand that. Anytime ANYTIME I found anything out it was me calling them and getting an email a few weeks later.

Any clues to the Pandoras box at the NVC would be super dooper.

*** moved to progress reports ***

Check the July Interviews thread to get an idea of how fast the DR is booking their appointments

I have done that. I dont really know how to judge what I am seeing but I can tell you that I see case numbers very close to ours. I saw some that were older than ours as well. the last few numbers are only like 30 off from ours.

have added you to the list. So I gather you will be taking the CR1/IR1 route not K1 route?
