Cover Letter for Packet 3

Hello Everyone,

I'm currently on my Packet 3 and need to send a cover letter along with various other forms.

I can't seem to find an example of a cover letter on this site.

Anyone got an idea on how I should write it?

I just don't want it to look trashy.

I dont think you need a cover letter, but im sure it differs for each country.

the best way to make a cover letter is to list everything that you have included in the packet. Also make sure to have your names and case numbers on it. I have read many things here too, Some say send one, some say you don't need it. I would rather have one and not need it, then for that to be the reason my case is held up! I would also sign it at the bottom as well as the date you are sending it. Best of luck!

• Confirmation receipt for form DS-160

• Photocopy of passport biographic data sheet

It's easy, just do it as a formal letter style. Goes a bit like this:

Date

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to notify you of my readiness to interview for my application for K1 visa. My case number is LNDXXXXXXXXX.

My medical is on XXX, my wedding is scheduled for XXX and my email address is XXX.

Please find enclosed a completed DS-2001 form [and any other documents, if you're sending all of packet 3 forms together].

Perhaps it's the English major in me, but I love the format of that letter! The one we sent was slightly different (but just as brief and covered all the same information). The one you shared is perfect, though!
