Hello All,

My screen name is snowjoe. My name is Joe and my wife's name is Yamila. We met in Havana in August of 2012 and became a couple in November of 2012. We were married in Havana April 12, 2013. We had a wonderful wedding and a great honeymoon at one of those all inclusive resorts. Now I am starting the immigration process.

With the incredible of this website and a whole bunch of checking, and double and triple checking last weekend I put together the I-130 package for Yamila and an I-130 for her three year old son also. I haven't seen much discussion of children on this website (or anywhere for that matter!) but I am hoping that it doesn't create complications. We will see. I sent the package with both petitions using the USPS on Monday morning the 24th of June, 2103. I sent it Priority Mail, certified, return receipt. I just checked online using the tracking info and it was delivered this morning (June 26, 2013). So I figure that now is the start of a long adventure!

I have been spending a lot of time getting to know this site. The wealth of information is incredible. Based on what I am seeing posted here this whole process could take as long as a year. I intend on using this site to insure that I am educated each step of the way and if there are delays it is not because I or Yamila missed something.

This is a great site. Thanks!
