Is this for the US birth certificate? I think we had copies of the front only. Not even sure what is on the back.

Good luck!

Gah. I've realized now that there is a short and long version certificate by searching. I have one that gives my parents age, birth location and names, no occupation. This sounds like the long version, right?

If you want to show the embossing marks on the copy just lightly trace over it in pencil, then the embossing will show up on the copy. I copied the front & back of mine. If it still doesnt show the US petitioner can make a copy of ALL pages of thier passport to prove citizenship instead of using the birth certificate.

We didn't bother to copy the back of my husband's because it was blank. To get anything else you may need to up the DPI on the scanner and then adjust it afterward for as high of contrast as you can get.

(USC) I made a copy of the front and back of my birth certificate, even though the back is blank, the instructions state "front and back" nothing about if its blank just the front. Why lament over making a copy of something?
