Does that mean I can open mine up and take a peek? laughing.gif

No ! No ! No ! Do not open that envelope. Period. It contains your medical records and if you open there will be BIG problems. You passed the physical and that is all you need to know. PS. they do not take X-rays at the POE.

Hang an X-ray on your wall? Really? Seriously? How about a wedding picture.

Are you serious? Haven't you heard? Chest x-rays are all the rage these days.

My POE was at JFK. Visitor Waiting line: 25 min. Immigration process: Less than 5 minutes. It was easy! But I guess 4 hours is enough for connection flight even immigration is busy.

cheers!

God I already wanna open that DO NOT OPEN envelope and I don't even have it yet. Whats IN there???

you can open it, its not a big deal.

It might just delay you for couple days, once you open it you will have to take it back to consulate and they will reseal it for you.

Pffff, everyone has wedding pictures. Nothing says "I went through a harrowing, drawn-out, expensive ordeal for my love" like chest x-rays! biggrin.png

You could even put a sticker on it that says

I paid the US Government $______, waited for ___ months, and filled out ____ forms, and all I got was this stupid x-ray.

Oh, and the love of my life.

How awesome would that be? biggrin.png

Does it take that much longer when coming here to stay? O_O My fiance has been through tons of US airports when coming to visit me (he's on a mission to visit them all one day, haha) and the longest he ever had to wait was 2 hours in Houston. That was just waiting in line. His fastest trip through was 10 minutes, in Chicago... so is the big wait just standing in line, or is there more of a delay because of paperwork?

9/12/13 I-129F Sent

9/19/13 NOA1
10/9/13 NOA2

11/12/13 NVC Received/Case # Received

12/3/13 Medical

2/07/2014 Interview

04/12/14 Wedding! (I hope!)

With any luck, soon he'll be here with me!
