depends.

if no rfe on the green card application, then sure ! absolutely !

iirc, you have issues on i-864 with 2012 tax year documents.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Hi,

But my case status for the green card has changed and I'm waiting for an interview date.

Doesn't that mean I won't have an RFE?

Thank you so much for replying.

I haven't called USCIS yet.

I didn't think I would need to. :(

so, no rfe imminent - that's a good thing .

i think you should call and ask about the EAD with a CSR.

It can happen that you get an interview before the EAD is ever approved. Some people receive it right before the interview, and some people never get it. The EAD is not needed once the green card is approved.

Thank you very much!

I really need the EAD since my employer needs to hire me legally and send me out of the US soon.

:(

I hope they will give me the EAD soon.

With your current timeline, I would not hope too much about getting the EAD in hand by July 10th. Even if your EAD is approved, let's say July 9th, you would have to wait to have the card in hand and it takes about 1-2 weeks after approval.

With a job offer letter, you could try to expedite your application...

As Darnell said, call them. If it doesn't work, schedule an InfoPass appointment at your local USCIS office. If it doesn't work, contact your representative.

holy moly - that's right !

it is possible to expedite an EAD , if you have a job offer (written) in hand.

call up USCIS ming tian, talk with an ISO, they can help you with the intake.
