Sorry the state lost all 3 days in a row. This last witness was the star witness. She did nothing to help the state. Tomorrow she may have a meltdown.

Just because she can't articulate the sound properly doesn't mean she's wrong.

She should have said, "I heard the phone being dragged across a surface that sounded like grass possibly because it didn't sound hard like pavement".

She's the last person to hear him alive, I'm sure it is traumatic for her in many ways.

Day three State wins.

I believe that the conversation that demonstrates one crucial damaging fact, that TM was running from GZ. It removes the entire premise that he needed to "stand his ground". Case closed...

Guilty as charged 2nd degree...

And every bit of that is built around her testimony which was a three ring embarrassing circus for the prosecution

She was handled with Kid gloves and still totally screwed the prosecution over. it was bizarre. She constantly contradicted herself , admitted lying in sworn statements. Basically said she wrong in her original statement because she didn't care anything about all that.

I haven't had TV forever, like 35 years, and could not possibly stand to sit through the first commercial. Not much to read today which generally means the prosecution is getting it's @ss kicked. The biased media is keeping their mouth shut. So much news today.

What I have read so far seems a disaster for the Prosecution. But then, that is no big surprise.

She was a gem...you don't get a witness like that often.

I know the State is getting hammered about now, planning damage control. They'll be ok.

By day 12 those jurors won't remember who said what. They've still got 3 days at least of boring forensics.

There is no doubt. Zimmerman admitted to killing Martin.

Exactly. The prosecution has already proven its case. The burden is on the defense to prove it was self defense. If they fail, the only question is how much time Zimmerman will spend in prison, and if he makes it out with his life and virginity intact.

He has to prove he was attacked and feared for his life. Until today the only evidence that he provoked a confrontation was the witness he went down in the biggest court room embarrassment I have ever seen. I have never seen a witness be allowed to spout off like she did without the judge calling them out.

I am not saying GZ is totally innocent or did not contribute to the altercation. I am saying that the state made a decision to prosecute mostly based on this witness and she got badly exposed today. She in court changed her prior testimony several times, admitted lying twice. When she was asked why she said the previous statements where not important to her. Unless State pulls out another witness there is no evidence to contradict GZ and in fact the most damning evidence was shown to be a Saturday night live level joke.

2nd degree murder was always a stretch, barring some earth shattering evidence it now appears out of the question.

I also find it odd the judge thought GZ prior behavior and 911 calls was important to establish how he might react in a situation, but TM violent behavior was irreverent. Before any of you doubt I am still totally. impartial, I think both histories are relevant

Monday I was thinking GZ was toast, if I was on the jury I probably would have convicted. Tuesday I was leaning toward a lesser charge but still guilty. After today I think the whole thing is a farce and the states case has been exposed.That may change tomorrow.

I am and for ever more the most un biased fervent protector of the truth, here at VJ-P and R

So far it's State 2-1, but but the state got knocked on it's butt today.
