Hi Marlex,

Sorry to hear you're still waiting. My interview was on August 14 and I received my visa on the mail last Friday. However, the summary page on the visa packet had a mistake and I had to return everything to the embassy so they could fix the mistake they made. I'm so exhausted at this point, but this is pretty much the last thing we have to do and I'm hoping to have the passport and the visa packet by the end of this week.

My I-130 took around 60 days to be processed. I think those are the numbers for most people here having DCF in Frankfurt. After that everything went really fast, because I had ready all the documents I needed for the second round of papers, just waiting on the approval of the I-130. I only had a delay of around 3 weeks with the medical, because I went to the appointment on time but it took forever to the praxis to send the papers to the consulate.

I would guess you're approval should be on its way soon.

Hi Atenea,

Sorry to hear about the mistake that the State Dept made. Hopefully it won't take them very long to correct it. We have all of our DS-230 documents ready and have already completed the medical portion so hopefully it only takes a few weeks after the I-130 approval for us as well. We're surprised your Visa made it so soon after your interview, we're hoping we'll have a quick turnaround on ours as well (without their mistake), but it's getting nerve-racking waiting for the I-130 response since we're trying to leave within the next couple of months.

Hi guys,

So I received my passport with a new visa yesterday and everything on the Summary Page of the Visa Packet is correct now. I have already paid the last fee (US$ 165) and we're basically ready to fly on October 20.

Thank you so much for all your support during this crazy process. I'll be stopping by often to catch up, because I find this forum so interesting!

Next step: ROC in 2015!

Wish you all the best :)

Hi guys,

I filled in june and have now received an approval but it isnt being followed up in the normal processes that everyone else is explaining.. it was an I-171 form and its been forwarded to the NVC. Thats it no approval code etc.

i know our case is slightly different as my husband no longer lives in germany as he received orders to go back to america. Even so we chose on the form that id complete the process in germany as he was a resident when we filled

any ideas where i stand now?

Maybe it got sent to the NVC instead of the IVU because he changed his address?
