Her current name or her current family name that she is using, that's the first box on the G 325a form.

Below that it says All other names used, there you will put her maiden name and all other names she used by previous marriage.

Your post is a bit confusing when you said your soon to be wife then you said if she should put her married name. If she is married before and divorced, she should put her current name that she is using.

Good luck :)

Genesis 2:22-24
Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

OK, let me say this. We will be getting married shortly. I will file a bit after the wedding. So that was my question. She has never been married.

If you will file after the wedding then, she should put her married name. And her maiden name (single name) below that, where it's said All other names used.

God bless on your journey :)

"If you will file after the wedding then, she should put her married name". I guess this apply only if the wife legally changes her name?

If she will be changing her name yes, put her new married name. If she will not be changing her name before the interview, then put her maiden name.

Because of how expensive it is to change the green card, which comes in the passport name, I suggest trying to change her documents before the interview, and preferably before the DS-230 IV application package at the NVC. You have a few months (4-6+) in which to this :)

On my copy of the G-325 (and I'm the wife, been married before this time) it says: For wife, use maiden name so I'm still confused. The last name I use now is not my maiden name, it is my current husbands last name.)
