(Organizer hat off)

You've had these many months to study the VJ Guides... if you haven't, begin now! :)

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

The beneficiary need to check online the documents they need for the interview at the us consulate located in their foreign country. One of thise docs is the financial support avidavit th us citizen needs to complete. In the mean time the approved petition makes another journey to the nvc.. National visa center (15 days) when it it processed there they assign it a case number then forwards it to the us consulate in the foreign country .. Some approvals go direct to the consulates ..it varies country to country . Also the medical exams are set up differently for each country so look into as well

Excellent advice. Start reviewing the VJ Guides to see what paperwork has to be compiled next. You want to be as prepared as possible when you go to the interview. Good luck.

Hahaha, congratulations! I would totally call and wake him up, but luckily we found out while he was still awake! :-P. Good luck with the next steps! We're NOA2 twins! smile.png

And yes, that seems to be the trend, to skip right over "decision" to "post-decision activity." I think "decision" might be used if it gets denied.

Congrats! thats great news....what date was your NOA1? please fill your timeline to help us all. thanks

Has your fiance received a hard copy as well yet? Thank you. I was reading a gentleman's post and he received a call from NVC. So I'm getting alert for everything. I know I was looking at the flow chart and guides have an idea of what I have to prepare but it's overwhelming. Right now I'm just trying to figure out if they will send it to his home country Morocco or his current residence for 3 years now London, United Kingdom. That is where he lives. I'm hoping the hard copy or me calling (not sure how soon to call) some people say 3 days flow chart says 2 weeks 0_o just gotta try and test it out & hope to get that information as soon as possible. I put London United Kingdom Embassy in the application so that is what we are hoping for!

Thank you again.

congratulations! smile.png

Thank you I have a question you might know. Can I post a topic directly to the Moroccan Portal or to whichever country? Or I can only post a topic in the Forums Section for my visa type?

My Fiance is from Morocco but living now in the United Kingdom for over 3 years as a student so this is his home. I'm wondering if they will send our NOA1 packet to Morocco (Casablanca) he is from (Khemisset) or the UK embassy that is what I put on the application and UK home address.

Also wondering if the Moroccan Embassy accepts the I-134 affidavit with co-sponser... I hope they do. Not sure if you started off with a K-1?

Thank you for your help. And I have been and still am looking at the guides... just overwhelming information...
