I know what you mean! Only...I'm a procrastinator, so I have nada. I can figure Craig out, but I'm struggling with Corey this year. We don't have a load of cash or anything, and what do you buy a 13-year old?? He just did a fundraiser for school and sold over 50 things, so he gets a cell phone...I've told him over and OVER that fine, he can get it, but he has to buy minutes if he wants to keep using it. Luckily, he just got a paper route a month or so ago, but as anyone who's had one knows, they don't pay much! Plus, half of his money has to go in the bank...I've given him a break though and told him that part can start at the first of the year....1/2 of what he makes in Dec. has to go for gifts...trying to teach him a bit of things mean more when you've worked for them and got them yourself..and that it feels good to give. Anyway, enough of all THAT...what do you get a 13-year old that's not TOO expensive?? He finally got an MP3player for his bday last June, so I dunno....

Could always do PS2 (yes TWO..no three in our house for a while yet!!) games and things like that...but...any unique ideas from you'all with teenagers??? M.

if you do get some PS2 games I would suggest ordering them online from EBgames... they have all sorts of games etc.. there... You can buy in good condition used games too....

the shipping is pretty cheap I selected the cheapest that takes about 5-10 days and it only cost about 3 bucks for shipping....

I ordered 5 games and a PC game controller for 60 bucks including taxes and shipping....

You can do something else for people as a gift. Some of my friends are very clear about it, saying they just don't have the money this year for gifts. So instead they will invite us over for a nice dinner at their house, or will make something(maybe that is more of a girly thing) like a decoration for our house. I don't mind it at all. You can tell people ahead of time and arrange something else to do instead of a gift.

-Also, amongst my family we are cutting back a lot. And with some relatives we have decided not to exchange gifts because it ends up costing so much, and instead we cook our specialties for each other and bring them on Christmas. For instance, everyone we know loves Indian food but can't make it, so we'll make them something Indian as a gift. And my aunt is a great baker and makes almost any dessert/bread/pastry you can think of. And she gives us those.

I have only one person I buy for and that is my granddaughter Alexis. I got her the Fisher Price digital camers (in pink of course). The stores are sold out so I went to my favorite place, ebay! It came yesterday and is sooooooooooooo cute.

Holiday shopping hours silly. Don't they have that everywhere? The mall is open til midnight here, yippieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! I like going around 10pm.
