I got an email from a random stranger's email address written by my fiancee (yay for my translation sheet of "will you help me email this address")

She said that they're (well, as of an hour ago) getting ready to sit on the plane from Beijing to LA, they're very happy, and they're, keeping on keeping on, or the Mongolian equivalent.

I get to see my fiancee in less than 12 hours (if there is no customs wait). That's very, very exciting.

What would Xenu do?

Did you manage to sleep last night? I know I didn't when my fiancee came.

Love it! The translation sheet was a great idea. Don't laugh at me, but I got a little emotional reading this because I can imagine how you're feeling. I bought plane tickets last night. My fiance will be here next Wednesday night! Just in time for my birthday on Thursday. I couldn't think of a better birthday present :)

Keep us updated! I'm so excited for you and your family that's currently in the air!!! Yay!

Surprisingly, I managed to sleep, but woke up every few hours to check for an email -- it finally came at 6 AM, so I got up. I'm usually sleepy until 7:30 or 8, when I have to get up to get ready for work, but this time, I woke up with some energy, at least.

Sadly, I know on my fiancee's side, she wasn't able to sleep. I think she's half overjoyed to be seeing me, and half saddened to say goodbye to her siblings and relatives.

I'm positive we understand each other's feelings very, very well! Especially considering that, for whatever reason, Wednesdays are the days our loved ones will reach us.

July 4 is an awesome birthday -- same as my mother. She said when she was young, she always thought the huge celebration was all for her. Perhaps she thought a little too much of herself. oops8rh.gif

Just venting my excitement -- I last saw my loved ones in August 2012. Finally, tomorrow, we will reunite in the US.

Coming from a country with no McDonalds, Starbucks, highways, etc., they are going to be freaked out by the U.S., but we are all really excited to be together again!

Wow, awesome!

Actually, I didn't take today off work (the plane arrives at 6, but it's delayed, and my job also ends at 6.) The nervous energy helps me do my job, kind of, but my job also helps me take my mind off the excitement.

I just spent the last few minutes writing everyone letters to welcome them. It's a lot easier to express your feelings when you can pre-plan it and use a dictionary for hard words :P

Баярлалаа. Их сандраж байна аа!

I'm so excited.

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words -- amazingly, although it generally is a very lonely process, this forum's members have made me feel like we're all in it together.

With my luck, they will probably sleep on the 12 hour flight from Beijing, and the kids will be full of energy and want to play video games all night tongue.png
