Hi Vjyer's,

Good day to all!

I'm currently preparing for filing for AOS.I just wonder if it is mandatory to file for 1-131 application ?How much would the fee for AOS be without the 1-131.How long will I have to wait for my green card? What is A#?Where do I find it?What about G-325A,is it the same document my husband submitted when we filed for 1-129F?Do I need to file a new one? Will we be submitting the same documents also for affidavit of support?

I will appreciate it very much all your feedbacks.More power.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based ~

The fees for the I-131 and I-765 are waived when filing with a pending I-485. The fee with or without those 2 forms is $1070. You should go ahead and file all 3 together.

The A# is on your NOA2 approval notice for the I-129F, near the beneficiary's name.

Yes, you need another G-325A with your AOS paperwork Follow the guide> http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

Thanks very much people. How long does it take to receive the EAD and the green card? Will I get to be interviewed for AOS?

About 2-3 months from filing to get the EAD/AP card. The green card approval time varies and can be 4-9+ months. It is about a 50/50 chance to be approved without interview or not for those adjusting from a K-1. Those being approved without interview are the ones that are taking the longest.

One last question pls.Can I just write my answers on the application sheet or does it have to be computer printed?

You can fill out the forms by hand with black ink. Just be sure to write neat and legibly.
