Now what..?? Please help

I have my I-130 package ready to be sent, but the I-485 will not be ready for another couple of days. I am still waiting on the Medical Exam.

Can I submit the I-130 package now and next week the I-485 package?

I prepared the packages based on this guide:

How does it work?

I saw in the instructions for I-485 that I need to include a notice of action of an approved for I-130 unless I am filling together with I-130 form.

If you send the I-130 without the I-485 you will have to wait a few weeks to receive the NOA-1 (receipt). A copy of this will have to be sent with the I-485 packet so the two can be put together. No point in sending the I-130 without the I-485 as it does not confer any benefits to the intending immigrant. Might as well wait and send it all together.

Hello there... I need help once again.

So I submitted the two packages (I130 and I485) to get the GC trough my wife on July 2nd.

I received a notice for Biometrics two weeks after and went to the appointment on July 31st.

Well we just received a letter saying that the petitioner (my wife) needs to submit a "Complete Federal Income Tax Return submitted to the Internal Revenue Service for the most recent year".

Why are they asking for this?

My wife and I submitted form I864 combining both of our salaries because hers was not enough since she decided to go back to school and just works part time.

Has this happend to anyone? What could be the consequences of this? Would this delay the process?
I am a bit concern because my EAD as a OPT student expires Oct 26th.
