EAD received but no interview date

Hi Everyone,

I'm having the opposite problem that most people are having. I applied for AOS on March 15, 2013 and I received my EAD/AP about 10 days ago, but no interview date yet. My I485 application has been stuck on Interview scheduling for about 2 months now.

"Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling."

When I call up I get the same BS story, "You're way ahead of schedule, please wait 6-7 months then call back."

I'm applying out of Los Angeles, and I'm worried that my interview may have already been scheduled and I might miss it due to the crappy online status updates and idiotic customer service agents.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I was under the impression that Atlanta was backlogged so it wont be until another few months to adjust but now I read in another thread that March filers in Atlanta are not only getting their interview dates but they got their Green cards too. I'm adjusting from H1. Does your visa determine how long you need to wait? When I called them they asked me to make an infopass appointment at my local field office. Which is what I am going to do on July 5th.

From what I've been reading I don't think visa determines wait. I think I will make an infopass appt. also, all of my online status updates have been wrong or nonexistent.

I've been searching through this forum and it seems that almost all of the March filers and early April filers have already received their green card, even those that got REF's... Hopefully I can get this sorted out soon.

Yeah me too. I wonder if in that case it has something to do with Country? I didn't get any RFEs and when I called I asked the lady on the line about it because I've been checking my mail everyday and I didn't see any request for evidence and she said she doesn't see anything. I'm beginning to think calling is useless because I felt like they were just reading back what was posted online. Hopefully the infopass appointment will be more fruitful otherwise it will be a waste of a day off from work.

I got my interview date today finally! I haven't received the notice yet though but my online update let me know about it. I do think USCIS reads the posts here. Wishful thinking maybe. Anyway interview on July 30th. so a month to get my stuff together. I am glad we didn't book that cruise now to be honest.

Sent my forms on March 23rd. They received it March 25th. Biometrics was 23rd April and I got my EAD on May 25th. Got online status for interview on June 27th for interview on July 30th. So basically an update every month.

Congrats and hope your interview goes well.

We filed the same date as you and we are still waiting, EAD/AP received but USCIS status for I-485 still says acceptance since 15th March 2013.

We also live in Atlanta..

Best of luck for the future.

"USCIS status for I-485 still says acceptance since 15th March 2013."

Oh..where is that being updated? Whenever I check USCIS website they keep saying November 12, 2012 for I-485. Maybe I am checking the wrong site. Not that it matters right now. But in the future when I do ROC or whatever, then it would be nice to know where to look.
