I just received my case # from NVC. Do I have to send an email to the embassy requesting the date for the interview? Should I include the INV # or just the case #? I have no idea how to start this email, Please helppppppp!

Thanks

Hi,

you need to email the embassy and request packet 3. Then your fiancee needs to make an appointment with one of the two doctors the embassy accepts. Once you have your medical appointment, and your fiancee has all the proper paperwork you can email the embassy and request an interview.

I should have added that the embassy will not send you packet 3 until they have received your paperwork. you can check the status here. Once it says received at embassy you can email them. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?

With Ramadan coming up you may want to get in touch and get your medical appointment set. When my husband tried to get his during that time last year it was difficult to get anytime soon as some of the medical staff were out on holidays. They were scheduling 6 weeks out at the time. Just something to keep in mind.

Congratulations and good luck on the rest of your journey!

Thanks, I asked my fiancée if she could talk to them since she lives a few KM from the clinic in Delibrahim and hopefully we could schedule it before July 10th. I know in Ramadan it’s hard to get an appointment. Thanks for the info.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me...I received the approved I-129F dated 4/19/2013 I thought 4 months would be enough time for my fiance and I to prepare but because of our ill-planning, work & home life, Ramadan, etc. well, the approved petition will be expiring in the next few days. 8/18/2013. I have emailed the Algerian embassy since last week ...a total of 3 times requesting an extension but have not received any response. I realize that Ramadan just finished last week and the embassy was closed on August 4th, I am trying to be patient but I am not getting any response positive or negative from the embassy. Should I call? Can my fiance call as well to request an extension? That would be one heck of a phone call. My fiance only needs to have his medical examination done & have the interview. I am just worried that we would have to do this all over again...this is a lesson for the both of us!
