My wife (american) and I (brazilian) are on NVC. We are just waiting for the fee interview to send the last packege of docs. She is my sponsor and agent on process I-130.

My questions are about I-864. She is a translator autonomous, so she does works for a lot of translation agency here in Brazil and around the world. She pays her taxes normally in the US and Brazil, but she haven't how prove of where coming this money, just that she paid her taxes. Her income is enough. She has account in the US, but we are use much more our account here in Brasil. Can that bring forward any problem?

What we need to do to or what we need to take to the interview? Just her tax about the last years? What we need to send to NVC? If we just print our account in Brazil and tsend these papers, NVC will acept?

Anyone to help us?

Thanks.

Unless your wife's income will continue at the same level from the same source or sources once you are in the USA together, it doesn't count towards qualifying as your sponsor. She could potentially qualify based on your joint liquid assets but you need $3 in liquid assets for each $1 of income requirement. Often, people in your situation that have less than abot $60,000 of cash in the bank, will need to find a qualified "joint sponsor" living in the USA.

The income from the last three tax returns does not need verification. If she reported it on her tax return, they will accept that she earned it. It's the qualifying current income that becomes problematic unless it can be shown it will continue, once you're both in the USA.

Pushbrk,

I got it. Thank you very much.

We are asking to agencies to sign a letter that say that the services will continue. That is what we can do. A lot of agencies are signing it for us.

In the letter there isn't value of services, it just says it is going to continue.

My wife is confident about that, principally after of see your answer.

Yesterday at night we paid the interview, now we need to send tha last package (IV and V packages together).

(Sorry for my english, I'm learning it).

Good luck for all us.

Best regards.
