I just filed for my AOS (yesterday) and together with it i sent a I-131 so I can travel abroad and visit my family. I read the usual processing time for an advance parole is 90 days, and I was wondering if it would be safe to book a trip for mid-October. That would be roughly 3 and a half months from now. I know no one can give me an exact answer as processing times may vary, but i think I might risk it anyways, as it will be a lot cheaper to buy the tickets with so much time to spare.

On a slightly different note, I am worried I'll get called in for a biometrics ap or an interview while i'm outside the US. I haven't seen my family in over a year and am really looking forward to traveling. ..I guess I'm just trying to get some peace of mind... cray5ol.gif

October 21st 2013- GC APPROVED!

November 4th 2013- GC received

September 26th 2015- Mailed I-751

October 1st 2015- NOA1 received

October 19th 2015- Appointment notice for biometrics

October 30th 2015- Biometrics appointment

Hi You&me !

T be honest, I wouldn't do it. I filed end of may, was supposed to go back home for best friend wedding and see family early in september, but I feel like Im not going ( too expenssive), but also would feel too short to buy ticket. What I mean is, you shouldnt buy until you get your card. Some ppl get unlucky and hve to wait longer. You never know :)

EADP/AP approved : 08/07/2013

EAD/AP card received : 08/16/2013
I-485 interview : 09/13/2013 : APPROVED! :)
