Okay, to end all my worries, I called USEM yesterday regarding my Interview and they said that the general rule on immigrant visa is that the NCV will schedule an interview. But since i saw my status showing READY at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/, i registered and schedule BY MYSELF chossing my own date of convenience on line @ https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ and got a confirmation email, Now they have to follow it since it is already scheduled in their system! whew i feel relief!!!

I didnt wait for NVC to mail me since it will take very looooong time to arrive! and we need to be in US before the school starts in August smile.png

I think there is some kind of major disconnect here. NVC does schedule your interview unless you are an expedited case (which is why the online option exists in most cases). You may need to call the embassy to determine which you need to honor as you may have just put a kink in the process.

CEAC generally does go READY when the interview scheduling process begins, but that does not mean the beneficiary/petitioner should schedule their own. Otherwise everyone else on VJ would not be waiting around for their dates.

Hi gabby thank you for the reply I called the us embassy already and the agent I talked to she's telling me it's up to me if I'll go. It's my discretion because if the us embassy interviewer didn't see my package there they will just send me home I'd like to take a risk but still I'm worried if my visa release might get affected . Pls help

Manila IV is a special case - is possible to self-schedule for a CR-1/IR-1 and absolutely required for a K-1.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

. I don't know if I'm k3 all I know is I'm cr1. Sorry but how will I know if I'm k3? What else do I need to bring with me aside from the pictures and proof. Also I check ceac and it says there follow the instructions of Nvc. Does that mean I will cancel the one that I schedule? Edited by Charles Melia
