Well, as fate would have it, My true love happened to live in another part of the globe. After returning home, I have felt all of the same emotions that I'm sure a great many people here have felt. The initial accrual of documentation to file our 129F was enough to pass the time away, yet now, that process is completed and we wait. Idle time, at the mercy of governmental efficiency programs, leave us feeling somewhat powerless to forge our own future, our lives on hold.

Being separated from someone you love is emotionally difficult for even the strongest of people. It is akin to being separated from yourself, as if 2 lives have become one and yet are shattered by distance.

It hurts.

That being said, we have always shared the common reassurance that we were doing it together and that helping each other through this long process would strengthen our relationship.

Reading the great many stories on this board has provided a soft landing for my wounded spirit. There have been many accounts of enduring patience, love and victory that are both and inspiration and testimony to the one common theme found on this forum.

Love conquers all

Indeed.

It is with a heavy heart that I submit this intro, however, there is a promise of a bright future. Belonging to this forum of people has given me strength and the assurance that we are not alone. There are a great many people now going through this trial and with the Grace of the Lord, we shall prevail.

We both appreciate the heartfelt support of the VJ community and thank you.

Bob and Mira.
