Hi everyone!

Well I was just wondering if anyone out of Egypt has heard anything regarding an interview. I worry things wil be even slower with all these protests and more political turmoil. My fiance returned packet 3 to the US EMBASSY in Cairo which was accepted early june. When we check the stauts it says READY wait for interview. Im not really trusting the US mail if I have to submit more paperwork. Ive sent several packages before to my fiance and the 1 time I send him documents (finacial support documents, new oetter of intent and ORIGINAL NOA2) they get lost. I hust found out to get a copy of that form its over 400 dollars. I resent the documents and he got them but ugh. It seems like its taking forever for him to get sn interview. :(

missing him ♥♡♥

It takes 2-4 months for the Cairo embassy to issue an interview date. It took a little over 2 months for us to receive notice of our interview date and our interview date was exactly 3 months from the date that we sent Packet 3. Try checking the visa interview schedule posted on the Cairo embassy website (http://egypt.usembassy.gov/consular/iv8.html) which is usually updated at the end of every month. The status on the department of state website (ceac.state.gov) will probably be "Ready" until after the interview is conducted.

Of course, if the protests turn out as bad as they are predicting then there will be further delays.
