On a side note, my husband was misdiagnosed by a minority doctor, and only later on correctly diagnosed and treated by a white one. Yes, I know, it is one case, and the guy could have just been incompetent, but then again, you never know.

Are you for real?

Just so you know, I've reported you.

Even if it is P&R, someone in a community that consists of people from all over the world, shouldn't have to worry about reading a discussion and coming across this kind of racist #######. And that is exactly what it is. #######.

Craptaculous even.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Again, your ignorant statement about Jamal and being on welfare is why we still need this system. Proof in itself of when you think of a black person you think of this.

I surely hope you do not come up with a disease that needs treatment and the only person to treat you is a person of color. Would be soooooo ironic. Lol

I don't think anyone is saying the would not use a black doctor. My doctor for several years was a black female. What we are saying is that affirmative action, quotas and race based promotions are racist and tend to stereotype.

Well, lets just change people's thinking and work hard for equality amongst all people and races, lets close the gap between the rich and the poor, bring back the middle class, stop racism and years from now we can look back and say wow, I cannot believe we used to have to have these discussions.

What is so ignorant about it? This is the type of people that AA caters to, no?

I have no problem with the color of a person, I have a problem with lowered standards for some people, based on various criteria (sex, gender, family income). I am distrustful of the standard of education for minorities here - I would rather have a doctor from Nigeria treat me than a US born and educated black one, if I were ever in a position to chose.

Two Middle eastern and one Hispanic doctors. All Lilly white with no non Caucasian features. Yeah right.

You really don't get what it is stereotyping or at the least rude, to ask a complete stranger " where you are from" just because they look different ?

All our BS'ing aside for a moment .. you really don't get that ?

Is this like someone saying they aren't racist cause they work with some black folks and those particular black folks seem OK?

I've reported this one also.

The myth is in your head. Where you leap from one ginormous conclusion to another.

I do believe I am allowed to reach whatever conclusion I deem fit.

Remember to report this too, I am having pleasant kindergarten flashbacks.

And your fact-based opinion on the standard of education for minorities in the US is based upon what evidence?

Btw, people are not all equal, communists tried to bring equality among people with tragic consequences. Some people are smarter, some are harder working, and so on - we should all be rewarded based on the quality of our work, otherwise it becomes an abuse.

You are so right that you are allowed to reach whatever conclusion you deem fit.

You just aren't necessarily allowed to spread it around where it is offensive to a large portion of the membership!!

So here.......cray5ol.gif have a hanky.

Wow and again, your mouth tells it all about you. Just because you let someone in college does not mean they will pass, or not drop out. Hard working, dedicated people go through college without dropping out and having determination that they want to do something better for themselves. Second, you must really do not know anything about college, you can't get a degree with Ds and Fs only A,B,Cs dude. And you can say you have a problem with someone making a C, but BUSH made a C in economics and people voted him in to run the freaking U.S.

Ahh, yess, the easily offended generation. The "me, me, me, let's give everyone a medal for participating".

It should also be noted that affirmative action has occasionally been applied to favor whites over blacks. In 1995, for example, a federal judge ordered Alabama State University (ASU), which was virtually all black, to spend $1 million per year on scholarships for white applicants only so as to attract students whose presence would "diversify" the ASU campus. Consequently, in the 1996-1997 school year ASU gave out 671 scholarships to white students -- one for almost every white who enrolled. As a general rule, affirmative action tends to lower standards for its beneficiaries, and ASU was no exception. To be eligible for many of these white scholarships, students needed only a C average, and in some cases were not even required to have earned a high-school diploma.

That is affirmative action gone wild.

And you are qualified enough to make the determination on who belongs in which category?

I have reached my decision, and I believe that this whole post must be a joke. I cannot imagine how closed minded, self center, selfish and arrogant just one person can be. This has to be a joke to see what people's responses would be. I just refuse to believe you are a human being with this type of thought process. I bet you played in x-files.
