You are naive Mr. Big Dog if you think people thinks much differently from me - I am not talking die hard, brainwashed liberals here, but the average folk.

Go to a hospital and ask around, who would you rather treat you, the guy who went to school because he was smart enough or the guy who went there because of other reasons (be them AA or his family's money or whatever).

I've been to a hospital very recently. I haven't seen a single person that was concerned about the race or origin of any of the doctors there. Haven't heard a single person demanding to be treated by a white doctor rather than an immigrant or non-white doctor. The question you ask is wrong to begin with. You might want to wake up to the fact that America is not as overtly bigoted as you are.

And here I thought this UCLA "compromise" would be a middle ground that would make both sides happy. Apparently not.

Just saw Jesse Jackson on CNN talking about the supreme court case with the University of Texas. He was playing his old tired tune about 100s of years of slavery and Jim Crow etc. I'm sure that will be milked for 100s of years after I'm dead.

So Peter Pan is gal. Surgery and hormone therapy is said to make almost everything possible these days.

Nice. You should have put it in big bold font.

But yet you remember and classified the race of every doctor who treated you, while at the same time saying people who see others by race are RACIST

More double talk .

Worry not, neither did we. It was just later on when he wasn't getting better and we switched doctors that I did start wondering if I should chose a white doctor next time.

Can any of the liberals around here explain why my white son, who is a great student, should not be admitted to college because Jamal is black and has 10 brothers and they live off welfare all their lives? Why is my kid denied education simply because he had the bad luck of being born to middle class white parents?

Not at all. Painfully obvious that you're trying to prove a point that doesn't exist. Fact of the matter is that I spoke with the doctors. They noticed that I am not from around here originally - simply based on my residual accent and my name. Couldn't help but notice the same in return - i.e. that they weren't from around here either. So among the things we talked about, we talked about where we were from and what brought us to America. Happens quite frequently when I meet people.

I would but I don't want to open myself up to accusations that I re-posted that just because you're an immigrant female. It could be mistaken as an affirmative action like act which I know you hate. So unfortunately, you're going to have to try harder and find it yourself. Surely you can appreciate that, yes?

The explanation of the mythical Jamal and his welfare family explains everything...lol

If being born White in a middle class family is bad luck I wanna see what's good luck? Fairy princess maybe?

So you saw a doctor of another color or race and knew right away they aren't from around here. You say this in explaining how you don't stereotype people. Do you every stop and really think about the ####### you say.

do you walk up to every non-white person you see and ask them "where you from"

I had to explain to my wife who is new to this country how that could be offensive to some.

I did not think I would have to explain it to the poster child of political correctness and liberal stupidity. Really ?

They saw the white dude that I am and knew I wasn't from around here. My name and accent give that away. Same for these doctors. What's the big deal?

do you walk up to every non-white person you see and ask them "where you from"

No, I do not. But when I speak to someone and notice an accent, I do ask. Same the other way around. I get asked "where's that accent from" just about on a daily basis when interacting with people.

I had to explain to my wife who is new to this country how that could be offensive to some.

You're easily offended, yes?

So if someone is of a darker color and has an accnt that can't bean American .. You are a racist.. Too late you have outed yourself. If you don't understand why walking up to an Asian ( or other races) person and asking where you are from may be offensive, then you may be to racist for me to reach

It's another case of your painfully obvious inability to follow a simple line of thought or a simple conversation. Who said that the doctors that treated me were of darker color? I sure didn't. Because they weren't. I am certainly not a man of darker color - I am as white as they come. My accent is mild, very mild. But it is there. And often people of all different colors and races and origins tend to ask me where I am from. That doesn't offend me one bit. Why should it? Same happens to my wife all the time as well, by the way. She is dark and has a heavy accent. Most think of her as being Hispanic even though she's African. You'd be surprised how often people try and talk to her in Spanish - which she does not speak. She's thinks that's funny but she's certainly not offended. Why should she be? A racist might be offended but we don;t fit that category. You might based on the argument you lost several posts back but keep harping on about anyways.

It's really simple: There's is absolutely nothing wrong with being not from around here. I'm neither ashamed of nor am I trying to hide where I came from. Nor is my wife. I really don't understand what your issue is with people taking an interest where one might have immigrated from. It's very odd that you're so obsessed with this. Must be a Georgia thing. Has nothing to do with the discussion at hand, by the way.

Two Middle eastern and one Hispanic doctors. All Lilly white with no non Caucasian features. Yeah right.

You really don't get what it is stereotyping or at the least rude, to ask a complete stranger " where you are from" just because they look different ?

All our BS'ing aside for a moment .. you really don't get that ?

Again, your ignorant statement about Jamal and being on welfare is why we still need this system. Proof in itself of when you think of a black person you think of this.

I surely hope you do not come up with a disease that needs treatment and the only person to treat you is a person of color. Would be soooooo ironic. Lol
