It is if you choose him because you're not use to hiring non-whites or if him being white made you feel safer with the choice.

I chose him because I think he would integrate better in the workplace.

I think we all know how much the work environment matters for any business. Difficult personalities do a lot of damage.

But anyway, I am delighted to see that the whites have metamorphosed into a superior race, with no need to eat, have a place to sleep, or money to raise the children.

Although it isnt the skin color, it is the subculture that makes the difference. Usually people get along best with people that are more similar to them.

So what do you want to do? Tell minorities "tough titties"? Tell them to come back as a white person in your next life so they may share in the opportunities of this nation as well?

I've been in hiring positions for a couple decades now and not once did I have to hire a minority person that had less qualifications than a non-minority applicant. Not once. And I have personally hired several hundred people over the years working for different companies hiring all different levels of staff. The idea that AA is about hiring lesser qualified people because they happen to be members of a minority is laughable. It's about leveling the playing field which is still heavily stacked against them.

Do you have a problem with them basing admissions on income rather than race? It seems this policy has ensured that the university is pretty much back to the racial makeup that it was before affirmative action was ruled illegal. I mean that's the goal here, right?

Well that's the point. By setting aside a certain number of admissions for lower income applicants, they are getting a more diverse student body. Which I thought was the point of affirmative action. A more diverse student body.

Unless AA addresses certain issues in the screening process - that part of the hiring process that precedes the hiring manager seeing a resume.

Some people you just cannot teach them anything. Here is how we can fix our problem. People who are racist should stop being racist. People who may want to use their race should not use it to get what they want. If people were not stereotyping people all the time and being racist we wouldn't need these laws. So go out, talk to people,educate them. Every black person isn't a criminal with 10 kids and on welfare. Every Hispanic is not here illegal. Every white guy is not a rapist or a child molesting priest. Every Muslim doesn't want to blow up America. Every Indian doesn't marry an American for a visa and the list can goes on.

This will solve our problem. We wouldn't need the government to do affirmative action and any other action because we would all treat people equally and fairly based off of who that person is, how they present themselves, their qualifications and drive to succeed in life.
