Guilty of involuntary manslaughter...(I'm not sure if Florida has reduced sentencing or not so its a guess)

If it's a straight murder charge up or down, I say he's found not guilty of murder. (Again, without seeing any evidence...but can I change my vote?) lol

wait didn't you already vote innocent

The idea is to post as many times as possible and have the correct verdict when the trial ends. So I think I'll alternate between guilty and innocent for the next couple of weeks or however long the trial takes. devil.gif

I am going to second . i see no way he is guilty of Murder unless some new startling revolutions come out. I don't know if the can convict him of a lesser crime or not.

So I vote-- Not Guilty of murder but guilty of lesser charge if possible.

I also vote that if he walks the feds indict him on something.

What's the over and under on this game? 8 week trial over or under?

Also, can I bet a paylay ticket?

Example:

Guilty with a sentence of under 50 years?

Or not guilty yet loses in civil court case for 10 million?

Calling Vegas!

Naw...that's double jeopardy. Under US law he can't be tried twice for the same crime.

But there may be a precedent in Mississippi when the Feds picking up a case dealing with Civil Rights, but I'm not certain it was a trial to begin with.

Technically, but they found a loophole.

After the riots, the United States Department of Justice reinstated the investigation and obtained an indictment of violations of federal civil rights against the four officers in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The federal trial focused more on the evidence as to the training of officers instead of just relying on the videotape of the incident. On March 9 of the 1993 trial, King took the witness stand and described to the jury the events as he remembered them.[32] The jury found Officer Laurence Powell and Sergeant Stacey Koon guilty, and they were subsequently sentenced to 32 months in prison, while Timothy Wind and Theodore Briseno were acquitted of all charges.[9]

Since GZ doesn't appear to have violated the federal civil rights of the victim, then I think he's safe, but who knows. I don't think they want to set that kind of a precedent.
