The basis for a lot of you who say GZ is guilty is, that he took the law into his own hands and should have stayed put and let the police handle.

Well then the flip side of that is that why did not TM stay hidden and call the police. Seems he took the law into his own hands also. Why does TM get a free pass on being a vigilante.

For his mistake TM was killed, for GZ's mistake he'll probably get some jail time. In any trail when both can be faulted usually there is some penalty if the other party is now dead.

Just like in mutual combat bar fights where one guy is killed, usually the survivor gets some time. It might seem unfair but we are a nation that loves retribution for a death.

When I was 17 and I was in an unfamiliar place and someone was following me, I would have run home and told dad. As you said TM was almost home.Why not just run inthe house and tell Dad someone was following him.

Good for TM. He did not go down without a fight... I wonder what the excuses would be, had TM gained control of the gun and shot GZ, in legitimate defense.

As I said in another post, if you pull out a gun on me, you will end up with your back pressed hardly against the ground, with me on top... It is really not that complicated.

I don't think he was unfamiliar with the area; he was about 3/4 of a football field from his fathers house. Are you saying adults and teenagers have about the same mentality in assessing risk? Then why don't we see more adults in skateboard accidents?

Either you haven't met a lot of teenagers or the adults you know also have poor impulse control.

Since we don't know the facts about exactly how this all transpired as far as the chain of events goes, is all speculative.

I also wouldn't bring a threat to my own home...but that's just me.
