I think he is suggesting that 210 feet is more than a few feet. Martin definitely had a legitimate reason to be where he was, while Zimmerman did not.

They both had a right to be where they were. For me the question is, who initiated the physical contact?

If the incident had occured a few feet from Trayvons door in the given time frame then I would agree with the characterisation that

Zimmerman had chased him down.

Given the location of the meeting, it is clear that Trayvon either stopped and waited or doubled back to meet Zimmerman.

There is absolutely nothing wrong or illegal about that, but it goes to frame of mind.

He was aware that Zimmerman was watching and possibly following him so the "fight or flight" response kicked in.

If he chose the flight (which he was under no obligation to choose) he would have been inside the house before Zimmerman got

to the place where they met.

I believe it was an angry, not a fearful Trayvon who confronted Zimmerman.( No law against being angry)

I believe the fact that Zimmerman was on the phone with the police indicates that he did not want to "apprehend" Trayvon himself.

If I'm going to try and catch a teenager, I'm sure not going to give em a 30 yard head start.

The last Zimmerman saw of Trayvon before the confrontation was Trayvon running away,

Zimmerman was hoping to catch a glimpse of where Trayvon was going so he could relay it to police. not trying to catch Trayvon

I believe it was the angry Trayvon who threw the first punch and the surprised Zimmerman who was screaming like a little girl.

I can't imagine Trayvon on top beating Zimmerman and all the time screaming for help.

We don't know if TM doubled back and attacked GZ or if GZ finally caught up with him and had words.

I believe the body was about 10 yards from the point where Trayvon disappeared from Zimmermans sight. A scared turtle could have made that distance before Zimmerman got there.

The fact that Martin is dead and Zimmermann killed him may have something to do with that. I have a feeling that if it was Zimmermann that turned up dead that night and Martin was the one who killed him, Martin would be facing charges now.

1. Zimmerman suffered obvious physical injuries

2. Martin suffered no physical injuries (other than the fatal gunshot wound)

3. Multiple witnesses saw Martin on top of Zimmerman

4. Police reports indicate that Zimmerman’s back was wet and covered with grass, as if he had been lying on the ground

5. At least one witness stated that Martin was forcibly preventing Zimmerman from getting up

6. The nature of Zimmerman’s injuries substantiate both that he suffered the commission of a forcible felony, and that he had reasonable fear of imminent risk of life or great bodily harm.

That is more than sufficient evidence to substantiate a claim of use of deadly force in self-defense.

The State is on record, admitting that they have no evidence to refute that claim, or to prove that Zimmerman was the initial physical aggressor.
