I've actually changed my opinion slightly on this case. I think GZ let a volatile situation spiral out of control and TM wasn't the calming influence that was needed. I don't think GZ thought he could get away with murder that night, but I do think his involvement was unnecessary considering no crime was committed by TM.

Maybe it was a case of adult hot head meets teenage hot head? I don't know, I wasn't there...but tragically someone died.

If they were both white or both black we would probably not even know it occurred unless we lived there.

But he didn't, he chose to call the police first, then follow that kid for a while, and then TM started to get out of his LOS, he got out of his car and continued his chase on foot. His actions escalated the atmosphere, rather than calm it down.

What I do know from GZ's testimony that he said TM walked up behind him and asked him did he have a problem. At that point, he could have identified himself and tried to explain why he was following him. He didn't and that's when he said TM hit him. What's also strange is TM was killed a few feet from his back door. How did they end up there if he was walking back to his car?

I think he is suggesting that 210 feet is more than a few feet. Martin definitely had a legitimate reason to be where he was, while Zimmerman did not.

Out of curiosity, how many of you have been been been shown all the evidence the prosecution and defense will be presenting? Have you been privy to all testimony on both sides? Have you all personally discussed the case with all witnesses to be called? Have the prosecution and defense both shared their intended case presentation and strategy? How about the cop, have you all been given all of their evidence? Testimony? And I'm assuming you've all had lengthy time with the jurors and already know how they will vote even though the trial hasn't started yet.
