What type of questions do they ask at the point of entry? Anyone can share? That would be great! Thanks a bunch!

They asked me where I waws returning from. After I told him Kazakhstan, he asked, "What the hell were you doing in Kazakhstan?" I told him I was visiting the in-laws. "AH, I see." is all he said. That is the usual question I get asked and the typical reaction as few people can point out Kazakhstan on the map. I agree with the above posted. You need to look for your POE in the review section and read what others have said. This year we will be going thru MSP so I can add that experience to ORD and DEN. They usually just ask about why you are coming to the US and why and as long as you have proper documentation, it is pretty easy.

Good luck,

Dave

Too many variables, different ports of entry, different airports, different officers. And are you coming to the USA as a non-immigrant, as a US citizen, or as a LPR. Or are you entering a different country?

With my wife's home country, no problems, just smile and say spend lots of money here with my US passport. Coming back is never a problem, welcome back home. Let's not talk about security. While dating my wife, coming here was just as a tourist, officer may want to see her return ticket and stamp her I-94 for the same return date. Or she would politely ask, what if she wants to stay longer, then they would give her six months.

As an LPR, always coming back, when with her, depending upon the airport, we could either wait in line together, but others had a separte line for LPR's as those with US passports. One time coming back from Colombia alone, she was stripped searched for drugs that took an extra two hours. But they never did that when she traveled with me. Think I would kill somebody if they tried that.

All that stopped when she had her US passport to come back. Same with my stepdaughter, was stripped searched when she was 13 years old, but not when she had her US passport.

Always have to be nice and polite and confident, but sometimes not easy if you were delayed in security for four hours. Not one trip was identical. One thing in common, never returned here once without having to go through airport security twice. Seems if the airlines double and triple check all of your baggage, once is enough. Won't let you carry in a sealed aluminum can of coke. Like to rob you in the plane for five bucks for a half a sip.

They didn't ask me a single one...

I would look up the POE reviews and see for whatever POE you are choosing what happens there. Too many POE! LOL

Wife had a bit of problem leaving her home country, with her place of birth in that country required to maintain a passport. Her Colombian passport did not have a US visa in it. So she had to show her US passport anyway.

What started off very badly for my wife giving all kinds of reasons she should be able to leave actually ended up in a friendly conversation with her female officer. She was asking all kinds of questions about living in the USA, sure sounded like to my wife, she would like to come here.

I never actually thought airport officials could strip search minors. Did they literally get her 100% naked and do the cough n squat? Or just in her underwear? How traumatic, in any case :/ if that had happened to me at that age, I would never fly again!

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

Certainly contacted my senator with a vehement complaint. Not sure if that made any difference, but did help to relieve some of my steam. In regards to never flying again, heard that from my 70 year mother-in-law that was also striped searched. Really a very lovely kind woman, I even love my mother-in-law. She never wants to come and visit us again, if you want to see me, you visit me.

This drug war is crazy, even 60 minutes had segment on this, picking on individuals while letting large tanker trucks go through with drug sniffing dogs going nuts. Led me to believe we have a lot of corruption with our own leaders. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if they are not hooked on drugs themselves.
