I-864EZ questions

I am going to use the I-864EZ since I am using my income to sponsor my wife. I make enough over the poverty line and plan to submit a letter of employment to be safe, so:

1) Are submitting the last three years of tax transcripts really necessary? Or would I be OK with only the most recent one?

2) Also, for question 18: "My individual annual income is currently..." They want to know your annual gross salary, correct?

1. Only most current tax transcripts are required.

2. Yes current is what will you have made. Hourly X weekly hours X 52 weeks = annual pay.

Yes for NVC all you need is current. But I would suggest having all 3 years for interview. Just in case. Your embassy is hardly high fraud thought.

For those who may read this and wonder "than why do they say all three years optional". For me I had last 4 years 2008. 2009, 2010, 2011 to NVC because 2011 i had no income due to I was living with hubby most of year. So I wanted to show that I make good money before and my current far exceeded.

But when you put on I-864ez all your past amounts and it shows above guidelines it usually never an issue.

But only current is required at NVC and they really just look at did you meet guidelines. And final decision is the CO's at embassy (for those that may be shaky).

If you have it before you send to NVC I would include the employment letter. Otherwise sure have for interview.
