Hi Friends,

I'm trying to complete the DS-260 for my fiancee and it asks about previous visits to the US. My fiancee has a Border Crossing Card (B1 B2 BCC) which I selected from the drop down where is ask for information about her previous visa. Then it ask for the visa number.

There are a bunch of machine readable numbers on the bottom of her BCC but which one is the VISA number?

Also, if she has a BCC does she also have an Alien Registration Number?

I remember this from my husband's paperwork. He also has BI/B2/BCC and I'm pretty sure there is no A number associated with it. It sounds like you're dealing with web forms, which can be so annoying! I'm not sure about the numbers at the bottom. I think we enclosed a copy, but if you have to do it by computer just try entering them all or however many digits it will take. Good luck!

Hi Jay-Kay,

Hmmmm..... so in the post that you reference above it states the following...

-If you have a Border Crossing B1/B2 Visa (Laser visa) the number is on the back preceded by a "V" (This is for the new RFID chip visas). It's eight numbers and you should drop the "V".

On both my fiancee's and her son's border crossing cards, there are no numbers on the back side. However, on the front lower left hand side there is a number that is formatted as follows... VBUSA1234

So I'm thinking that might be the correct number to use. Any thoughts on this?

Regards,

Ed

Did you ever get an answer to this? which # on a laser BCC is the correct Visa #? My wife has a similar card, one with VBUSAXXXX where the XXXX is numbers, and then a bunch of others, but there is nothing that really fits the field in the DS-260 form.

Any suggestions?
