We just received word and found on the USCIS website that we are approved. We were told it would take another 180 days. I applied in January 2013. I was told to send it to Texas even though our region is Vermont. As some time it went to Vermont to only get sent back May 24th to Texas. I applied for an emergency expedition. I was sent an I 795 C saying there are many applications and we should hear in 180 days. I didn't have 180 days. I was distraught. I called our State Congressman and today it was approved. Thank God and Thank everyone for the prayers and support, Especially the staff at my local Congressman's office. Now we are waiting for a date for his interview in London. Amen'

It is not like me and my fiancé just met. We met on the internet 5 years ago. We knew right away we had something special. He came to visit a few times a year or I went to Scotland. 2 years ago we decided to marry. We purchased a home for us to live the rest of our lives. He is retired and he won't need any assistance from the USA. Now we can have a wonderful fairy tale wedding to match the fairy tale romance. Best of luck to all who applied for your visa.

Congratulations, on both the NOA2 and the future wedding. Just a word of advice though, and that is to never set the wedding date in stone and reserve for it/send out invitations, until you have the visa in hand. There could be delays, problems at the interview, and even problems getting the visa after an approval at the interview. In fact, seeing that you set a date a mere month away from your NOA2, I think the chances you will have to postpone that wedding date are greater than not.

this is why I was asking about the interview date. The chances of you getting an interview in July will be difficult to get, even with an expedited petition. Never a good idea to set anything in stone until the visa has been approved and in hand. An approved petition does not equal an approved visa...Best of luck, and congrats on NOA2, but be careful before you put any deposits for any reception or celebration.

Congrats! Just to be clear, ALL I-129F petitions are mailed to the Dallas Lockbox intake facility. That is not the same place as the Texas Service Center, where your petition ended up at.

As others have stated, I am not sure July 27th will be your wedding date. You still have to go through London for the interview and it is my understanding you will not get your interview soon enough to have a visa in hand that soon.

If you've just been petition approved and you're going through London, I'd say there was no chance of making your proposed wedding date. It's about a 6 week turnaround *minimum* once it's at the consulate, and it's going to take 2-4 weeks for your case to go through the NVC first. Once your visa is approved, add another week to get your passport back (they don't issue the visa same-day).

There is more than an interview date to go. You must have your case arrive at London, then schedule a medical and return another set of forms and only after they have your medical results and forms will you get an interview date. I foresee August at the soonest, September more likely.

You're at step 4/5. It's not until step 15 that the beneficiary is in the US.

I tell you these things not to upset you, but just to help you to amend your expectations so you're not unduly disappointed.

You should come over to the UK section and take a look at this thread specifically. It'll help you understand what to do next so you can have it move as quickly as it can for you: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/page-86#entry6303985

I am not sure you are noticing your comments. Maybe because you got moved to another forum. Or you just aren't acknowledging them as read. I will try quoting your post. Here is a link for your London instructions. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/?p=5137390

If you get all these things in place quickly, your interview will likely be early September.

Unfortunately, the OP has only ever made two posts - post topic starters and never responded to any threads. I'm not sure they come back and read their responses! Eek. I think they're going to get an unhappy surprise.

I've just tried posting on their profile feed to see if it'll trigger an email to them, so they'll come back and read this. :(
