Making a cheap man's beef stroganoff tonight. just some onions and a can of mushroom soup with ground beef. Adding mixed veggies and rice. Easy peasy for a day that's not been pleasant.

I would pick a Filipino recipe whenever I miss my mother. I made adobo steak for dinner this evening using eye of round steak, green bell pepper, and red wine vinegar. I served it on a bed of steamed jasmine rice. And of course there's also chilled watermelon.

Below are photos of my 53-year-old Mama. biggrin.png The upper right image was taken last week while the rest are from May last year.

Its only 7:30am here, but what I'm planning for dinner is chilli-lime grilled chicken tacos with mango salsa and cilatro yogurt sauce. Yum!

Thanks for thinking so, but I actually look a lot like my father. devil.gif My mother gave birth to and raised five children that's why she has never become fat although she cooks and eats a lot.

I've been wanting to dust off my slow cooker so I prepared Italian pot roast with cannellini beans for dinner this evening accompanied by Spanish rice pilaf. I wonder if my husband and I would be able to eat all the 2 lbs. of boneless beef rump roast in two meals. I love the hint of Mediterranean flavors in this particular Italian pot roast. I thought the meat would go dry after being in the slow cooker on high for 5 1/2 hours. It did not. happy.png

I made a kind of sloppy joes... Ground beef, jalapeno, fire roasted tomatoes, baked beans, oregano and little bit of tomato soup because I don't have any tomato sauce. On potatoes with corn niblets on the side.

Normally I use a red bell pepper and chili powder on buns with cheese on top.

Italian dressing marinated chicken, mixed italian style veggies with diced tomatoes and spaghetti. All that's missing is garlic bread! :D
