you found a bag of perogies at Walmart? The only ones I have found are Mrs T's. They are ok but the dough is different then the perogies I had back in Canada..

I think you have to be careful not to overcook the Mrs. T's. I find that they get chewy. I have also heated them in a cast iron skillet with a little bit of oil instead of boiling water. I've never fried them, but I know some people like them that way.

oh they weren't chewy. the dough is just different.. the Mrs. T's taste more like a pasta dough. Real perogies have a lighter, thinner dough..

I boil mine and then fry them a little in butter and then eat them with sour cream. YUM! Thanks a lot now I want perogies tongue.png I have made them from scratch a few times but it is a lot of work..

I'd like to learn how to make them from scratch. I've had them that way and they're SOOOO good. OMFG. I would make enough to fill half a deep freeze! hahaha!

they're best when boiled a little then fried in butter, with onions, bell peppers (I prefer yellow and orange bell peppers), garlic sausage and even mushrooms. Since I'm out of all the other goodies but onions, they'll have onions and bacon tonight. nom.

It's Sunday, so it's favorite-food day! Cheeseburgers, salad with fat-free raspberry vinaigrette, and tater tots.
