What's for Dinner?

We forgot to take something out to thaw for dinner yesterday. So while texting my wife during lunch, we decided on hamburgers from the grill. As I get home first, I began thawing the ground beef. Then we snacked on saba, and rambutan while waiting for a bit. The wife wanted rice to, she always wants rice, so I started up the rice and got the burgers on the grill. Just as the burgers were getting close to being done, the wife asks for dried fish to. This is pretty quick to make, so I got it ready on and got them on the grill as soon as the burgers were done.

So end result, I had burgers, rice and dried fish, while my wife had rice and dried fish, and saved her hamburger for today's lunch.

Tonight is vegetable with pork, don't ask me which vegetable, its up to her and she always just says vegetable until she's making it, and fried tilapia.

  • 3 weeks later...

Swordfish and haddock, each seasoned with lemon, salt, pepper, garlic and chopped onions grilled indirect over natural lump charcoal. The new jalapeno flavor Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, lima beans, and grilled pineapple and bananas for desert. The fish was outstanding. I wish I could have had all of you over for dinner.

homemade onion rings?! I've wanted to try making those.

but i don't have a deep fryer. I'm unsure how they'd turn out otherwise. I guess if you bought a bunch of oil you could do it yourself.

Leftovers... Pork loin made in the slow cooker to be hawaiian pork (use some sort of campbells package of sauce?), rice and some steamed carrots.
