yes lots of folks got help from their elected officials

unfortunately if you are at the DC office, you are looking at 6-8 months.. you can file a service request, but most likely will get that very response

okay gotchya..

yes lots of help from senators with various petition delays .. but with ap, you will get no such luck, sorry.. I am not saying don't try, but be prepared for that kind of response

ap is a long process that nobody will be able to influence.. there is one thread here where a petitioner went to court.. it took years if I remember correctly to get there and is a very expensive process with an attourney..

search the threads for ap and administrative processing, you will find lots of answers

the Washington ap, is basically various security checks.. common last names generate long ap times

Walakuim Salaam. I contacted my congressman in March. I went to his office and also gave him a letter explaining everything. It did not help at all. Our case is as was before contacting him. In Administrative Processing no one can help except Allah. Iv seen lots of people on visa journey say that even for them congressman, senator, even the president, they all were of no help. Everyone will say the same thing over n over "your case is in Administrative Processing". Just pray. In Shaa Allah we all will hear good news soon. Dont be disheartened, just have sabar. I dont mean to dishearten you, you should still contact your senator but just be ready to know that it probably wont help or change anything. Allah will help us all. :)

When I filed the I-130 petition with USCIS, the Vermont Servicing Center was so slow. I am not sure if that's still the case however, it was taking 6-8 months to get an approval. My I-130 Petition wasnt "touched" for 6 six months so I contacted the senator's office. She (the senator) requested an update on the case and because of that they sent me a RFE after 6 months. Once I sent in the RFE, it was back to the same thing (case not being updated/touched) and took another two months to get an approval with the help of the Senator's office. So in total, it took 8 months for my I-130 to be approved. I think I would have been stuck longer if it weren't for the senators help. That being said, I don't know how much they can help with the Administsative Processing. Since I recently hit the 3.5 months mark of being in AP, I contacted the same senator yesterday. As SJ24 stated, I highly doubt that they can do much to help but It's something that I wanted to do so at least I know that I have done everything in my power and it might give me some peace. I also emailed the White House yesterday as well. I was thinking of contacting the second senator, comgressman and ombudsman's office. Again, none of these things will help but they might give me some peace.

Exactly, doing all this just gives peace of the mind that we have tried to do everything in our power.

Salam, all we can do is make duaa that we all get out of AP, that's the only duaa we can make, that we all get our visas :) inshallah we will !! I just wanted to ask that for my husbands case , is it good if I am back in the states or is it ok if I am in Pakistan with my husband ? Does it matter if I am here? Will it effect my husband case?
