Just wanted to add my progress for anyone thats interested since yesterday - when we got our Case number 28 days after receiving NOA2 and 6 days after receiving notification that it had been shipped from TSC to NVC:

- Status at NVC had changed to 'In Transit' by the end of the business day, which I take to mean its now enroute to the embassy in London (w00t!)

- With the Case number I booked medicals for myself and my two kids with Knightsbridge Doctors just after 9am this morning - first available appointment date was Weds 7 Aug.

Hey congrats on the case number! Though I am definitely sad to see next available Knightsbridge appointment is August 7th! Soon enough theres going to be a 4 week wait for them! Glad u got something within the next 2 weeks though!

From the cases I've followed over the past 2 months, it seems that scheduling for the medical has remained fairly consistent at about 2 weeks out, give or take a few days.

That is just the standard message that is part of the status. Each consulate does interviews differently. Some allow applicants to schedule online, others require you to send in all your forms and have your medical, then they contact you with the date.

just be prepared for the interview wait time. Unless they squeeze you in early due to an individual circumstance such as upcoming wedding and such, the standard wait from sending in your Readiness form to the interview date is between 4 and 6 weeks.

We are running parallel on this. I also got the status update of file being in Transit. I will give it about 3-5 business days to get some sort of notification in mail and see if my Fiancee receives anything from the consulate.

ugh that is an awfully long time. Just looking at your signature are u planning to send your readyness form after your medical? And if so why is that? is it because ur still gatherign documents and what not or because of the order as outlined by the london embassy on the website?

ugh that is an awfully long time. Just looking at your signature are u planning to send your readyness form after your medical? And if so why is that? is it because ur still gatherign documents and what not or because of the order as outlined by the london embassy on the website?

I am hand delivering my I-134 and supporting documents when I go over there next Thursday (landing on Friday). We are going to put the DS-2001 in the mail once I'm there and she has the documents. We are within our personal schedule on things, so we didn't need to push the timeline. The medical is scheduled for Tuesday July 30 and we'll have mailed in the DS-2001 on Monday July 29. It should arrive at the embassy well before the medical records so there shouldn't be any added time since they won't schedule the interview date until the medical arrives. I am thinking we'll probably get an early September interview and once she's approved we'll look and see what types of airfare we can get and schedule the flight accordingly. Earlier this year I didn't expect to have an NOA2 before September, so being ahead of the game, coupled with the fact that I am going to get to spend a few weeks with her means we can relax a bit through the last stages of the process.
