Hi I just got our case number. The lady I talked to was really friendly - she told me they just got it yesterday and they just put it the computer. I asked her when she thinks the petition will be forwarded to Frankfurt, but she could not answer this question. She goes through some adminestrative processing and then it will go out to the embassy.

Our NOA2 is june 20 and we got the shipping message on July 9th!!

I noticed that folks are waiting on different visas so I was hopeful to hear from only fiancé visa folks... How long before you got your case number from the nvc???

Have you recieved your case # yet? What did your copy say, did it list a consulate? Did it say that it's been sent directly to the consulate or NVC?

NOA2 approved 24 June, received email that it had been sent to NVC yesterday - 16 July. Hoping for case number by mid-to-end of next week if it continues to track roughly the same timing as predecessors.

Hoping visa staff in London don't all go on holiday in August...

you can track your case just click the link on my timeline. don't worry maybe it was just their usual thing... all papers I think undergo that process.

my NOA2 6/18/13 and my case got the shipping message on July 11th , I call to NVC but not get case number yet,

On Monday lady on the phone with NVC told me they received my petition but didn't wanna give me case number. Today I got e-mail from NVC with case number. What does this mean The appropriate agent (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will receive instructions for the further processing of this petition within 6 to 8 weeks.??

That is the NVC instruction letter with the Case number. Here in Manila it is needed to get the result of our medical.

I called USCIS and talked to tier 2. My NOA2 is June 30th, yet she confirmed that my petition is still at Vermont Service Center. What the hell?!! Why are they just sitting on it for 17 days? How much effort does it take to send a package? She said I had to allow 30 to 45 days for them to send it to the NVC. This is #######.

I went through the same ####### yesterday. I called DOS and they told me that although my petition was approved, it may not already be sent to NVC yet since they wait for the whole batch to be sent. So we have to just wait I guess..

I had pretty much this exact same text, exccept I never got an email, I got this in the hard copy mail from NVC. I believe this 6-8 weeks is just their standard timeline they put in there for everyone. I know each consulate is different, but with ours, we had the packet 3 letter (which is what they send in London) about 15 days after NVC assigned us a case number. As long as a case doesn't go into administrative processing at NVC, things seem to move MUCH smoother after it's assigned the case number...at least more often than not for K-1 visa applications
