BIG NEWS

Just got off the phone with Senator Blumenthal office

The delay is due to some seal not being on my case when it was sent from the vsc.... So it can't be sent to the vsc. The sectors office is waiting r more details .... The vsc is or song to 2 day ail my whole case with seal to the nvc by weeks end

I strongly suggest if you have a delay and you were a vsc to tsc transfer you make sure you file isn't in redtapeville

I will keep u updated as I am told the senator office is to receive more info

What else can go wrong now?????????

Hi guys, I just wanted to share something that one of my close friends shared with me. He also went through the same Fiancee visa process few months ago. One thing he indicated is that they were waiting for NVC to receive their file but when they didn't hear anything for few weeks, they checked with the embassy in India and his fiancee's file was already sent there (may be it came through NVC) but there is a good chance that some of you who have been waiting for more than 15 days, your files may have already crossed the NVC stage or it may have not. There is no guarantee but it won't hurt to send one e-mail to the embassy to check if they have anything there. Just a thought that I wanted to share. As it is we have been trying everywhere, one more on the list won't hurt. Also, I am sure every country's embassy may be different so obviously things may be different.

Please give this a try if you would like to. I will.

my fiance called uscis today and he was told that by end of week or early next week NVC will receive our file.

That's good news. I hope we will all have our cases at NVC by the end of the next week. :)

I'm glad you got some answer at least..i wonder if that's the case on many of the transfers? so VSC haunts us again!

when you say a delay, would 15 days or 15 business days be considered a delay? I only got my NOA2 2 weeks ago today so I'm not sure if I should be complaining yet and to whom..did they get the answer from USCIS - and is that the 1-800-375-5283 number?

thanks in advance. :)

thanks for your post/advice. That is definitely something to consider as well...mine isn't as late as others but if we don't hear by next week, I may try there. :) Did the USC petitioner call the embassy or the beneficiary?

Not a problem. For me it is only 7th business day so I still have some time before I do it. In my friend's case, his Fiancee contacted the embassy.

I contacted the Embassy this evening, when I get the response i will post here, although I think that they would have notified me if they had received it. But it's better to check anyway :)

My congressional rep called me today. He said TSC returned his call and said that they will be sending my case to the NVC within the next 10 days. He said they gave no reason for the delay and made no indication that anything was wrong with my case. My thought is they are simply in over their heads and are having trouble staying organized and keeping up with all the transfers. I'll check again in 10 days but for now I see no other option besides simply waiting. My NOA2 was June 17th.

On July 9, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

That was us, me and QueenOfBlades. Good to see ours isn't the only one then.
