I emailed the Manila Embassy to see if they had our case. They said no and that it would have to go through NVC for "pre-processing" first. So, the case going directly to Embassy from TSC was specific to that Embassy.

i also thought of that too. maybe we should wait for the NVC before setting an appointment at USEM Manila. I wonder what are their available slots for interview as of today... ClockWatch2.gif

We have to wait until we have MNL# to set appointment. Someone that set an appointment this week said that in the calendar July was pretty open after the 9th. I'm hoping for a July appointment but I know the slots at Manila fill up quickly.

How do we schedule an appointment? Do we have to call the embassy after getting the case number from NVC?

It depends on the embassy where your file will be forwarded after the NVC stage. Here in Manila we can do it online or through phone call. You can check with your embassy regarding the process :)

I just learned something new .. I called the nvc and a very nice gentleman told me that if you signed up for email alert and text alert they can also alert you when a case number is assigned[/

Where can you sign up for these alerts? Through USCIS? Tge same place you check your case statues or somewhere else!?

Calling NVC Right Now Wish Us Luck! smile.png See what they say... I will ask about email set up and I will share once I get it if it's really an option. "Working & Available" or direct website to NVC if they have one...

EMAIL ALERTS!

Ok. I just spoke to them very nice people. The Lady told me that it takes 15 business days as stated before until they receive our case from USCIS. She asked me if that is what the email said specifically that it was APPROVED and that the USCIS stated in the email about sending it to them I confirmed YES. She okay. 15 business days. I asked her about the EMAIL ALERT. She said once they have our case on file. You simply have to give the representative on the phone your email address. They put it in the system and WaLa! You can start receiving alerts from then on.

I plan on calling them everyday at least once. :)

And I will still be calling USCIS to see if they have sent it out. Don't see why this would be a bad idea.

Hope this helps somewhat.

Quick question does the Texas Service Center have a direct line or email to contact them? I would appreciate it or the Link to where I can find this information. I believe I remember seeing a email for them on one of these threads but I don't really remember where. 0_o

Thanks anyone!

Thought I'd add myself to the waiting list with the rest of you guys.

I got my NOA2 on June 20, received the hard copy in the mail on June 24.

Yesterday I thought I'd start calling NVC for my case number, the lady who answered was nice enough and told me it could take up to 15 days. Quick, efficient and polite. Today I called (because I'm going to call daily until they have it :) ) and the guy who answered was very curt and told me to read my Approval Notice and not to call back for 20 days. I was polite and told him thank you I'll call back. Didn't say when, and I certainly am not waiting 20 days.

Best of luck to us all, hopefully we get through and get to be with the one we love in the next few months.

Must have been the same guy I talked to the other day haha. Most have been nice, but a few acted like I was committing a crime by calling. What I do now is just say thank you and hang up before they ask me any questions.

If they don't want people calling everyday they should make an online status checker like USCIS has. I know they have that already for cases that are already in their system, but they should make another system that tracks incoming cases based on the USCIS receipt number.
