Hi everybody.

It's true - even if your case status says : ready, it does not mean the embassy actually hase it already. My case is on "ready" almost 7 days. I contacted the embassy and that's what they replied :

Dear Ms. Xxxxxxx:

In reference to your inquiry, we have received the electronic, but not the physical file from NVC.

After we receive the physical file, you will be contacted. Information on the process after the petition has been approved is available at http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/iv/step3/ You can start to assemble the documents listed in the K-1 Visa

Hey no worries. Your timeline says that your case left nvc on thursday which means your case arrived in Frankfurt on monday. All cases that are sent wednesday/thursday arrive monday since express shipping takes normally 2-3 days but cause nobody works in the embassy on weekends it takes a bit longer. They get packages from NVC every day so it takes a couple of days till they finally have it on their table but you can be quite sure it's already at the embassy. People from Germany waited between 8-14 days to package 3 after their case left NVC (and everyone also got the notice of "ready" a few days after).

Yes I get the same reply from the Napoli consulate ... 8 days for me:(

Confirmed. I got the same response from Manila. They have it in digital format. They said they should have it shortly. I'm guessing its at the Embassy, but not scanned in yet. Assuming that DHL tracking method is at all accurate.

How do I track my case with dhl?

I used these instructions: http://philippinefiancevisa.weebly.com/dhl-tracking.html

There are also threads on VisaJourney with the same info. Just search for DHL Tracking.

If that is correct this would be yours: http://www.dhl-usa.com/content/us/en/express/tracking.shtml?brand=DHL&AWB=7570686642

Based on a July 18th ship date from NVC to Germany.

I don't know how people found out about this tracking or how accurate it is.

Just checked the status of my petition on the NVC site. It now says "Ready"

"Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. Additional information about how Immigrant Visa interview appointments are scheduled can be found at:http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3731.html"

Does this mean the petition has arrived at the consulate!!!!? biggrin.png

mine say IN TRANSIT since monday! ughh..i wonder how far Kenya is to take that long. :-(

Mine also says IN TRANSIT. I did send an e-mail to NVCInquiry when after three weeks of my approval I didn't hear a word from NVC (which was on 15th July) and just yesterday I received a response back from NVC stating that my case has been sent to the Consulate and all the future inquiries should be directed to Consulate. Well thanks NVC, I had already found out on 22nd of July that a number was assigned to my case and it left NVC on 23rd. In any case I am glad its on its way to the Consulate. Getting one step closer at time.

All I wish and pray for is for all those who are still stuck at TSC. May God move things faster for them as well. This wait is ridiculous.
