Congrats! Yes, you can...my fiance booked his today -- looks like we will miss our 8/9 date for sure now thanks to TSC...the first appt they had was 8/2.

Thanks - yes! He just booked this morning and the first date was 8/2...they took his phone number and will call him if there is a cancellation beforehand.

I just checked my case status and it changed from At NVC to In Transit so it looked like they shipped it out...

I'm sort of bummed today that we won't make 8/9 now but looks like we'll have to do that last vacation separate..it just stinks because my dad rented the house for all my siblings to share and my fiance would have gotten to know my Dad much better. ...my dad lives about 6 hours away and he's ill with both a blood clot issue and Parkinson's disease...may be the last time we'll all be able to do this and now it will be without my fiance but there's not much we can do..it's just frustrating to think if TSC didn't hold it for 3 weeks, we would have been in the clear.

how are you guys doing - did you get your case number? it seems the june transfers are doing much better than the May ones for timing!

Called about an hour ago and was told our file was in the building but hadn't been assigned a case number as of yet. Will call back tonight. Glad its nowhere near 8 weeks!

Hey everybody. Here a noa2 27 of june, got notificated 17 july that our case was on his way to nvc and today ive called DOS. And they had gave me our case number!!!!

Cant believe it!!

They told me that it just got there today or that it has bein assigned today.

They told me to call NVC cause they r processing it and they can give me further information but im trying to call and it hangs up on me like the number is busy or something...

Is anybody else having trouble contacting them?

Oh that sucks I wish tax hadn't dragged their heels too. At least ur making small progress you are definitely getting there! We still have no case # nvc say they haven't received our case yet

Question, my fiancee's petition is 'In Transit' to the Mumbai consulate. Can we do anything in the mean time now? Or wait to see what they say in the packet?

Also, how do you get tracking information on the packet from NVC to the Consulate? I called the NVC but they couldn't provide me with that info.

Still waiting for my case to be shipped to nvc noa2 6/27. I called USCIS and the tier 2 rep refused to put in a service request. :-( So sick of this.

I know..I am bummed too but my fiance keeps me upbeat saying we can't be upset about something we have no control over because it doesn't help us..and he's right. and you're right - we are making progress.

my dad will travel down with my stepmom for the wedding but travel isn't as easy for him these days..but he will be there at least to walk me down the aisle for our little wedding/reception this year...next year we are having a much bigger vow renewal when about 20 family and friends from the UK will be coming over and I hope my dad's still with us for that too.

Sorry you haven't received your case number yet but I bet you will have it in a few days...they seem to have caught up some now and are at least prioritizing the K1s and sending them quicker..I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to hear soon.
