The Waiting room for fiancé visa case number is it 10 days or 20

I got the email tuesday, 7/16 that may reaffirmed case was sent to the NVC...but when I called tonight to ask if a number was assigned yet, they told me it arrived in the building monday, 7/15 but hasn't had a number assigned yet...so odd. hopefully we'll have one by monday...she told me to give them 10 days but i'm hoping for quicker. :(

I noticed that folks are waiting on different visas so I was hopeful to hear from only fiancé visa folks... How long before you got your case number from the nvc???

Have you recieved your case # yet? What did your copy say, did it list a consulate? Did it say that it's been sent directly to the consulate or NVC?

Just got the shipped to NVC email, Jul 2 NOA2! They seem to be speeding up, only took a bit more than 2 weeks to ship to NVC. Gonna give them a few days and start calling them daily sometime next week to get my case number.

On July 18, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

1/4/13 - I129-F Sent | 1/8/13 - Received by USCIS
1/10/13 - NOA1 to VSC | 1/11/13 - Text/Email | 1/17/13 - Hard Copy Received
1/16/13 - Alien Registration Number changed
5/24/13 or 5/29/13 - Case Transferred to TSC
7/2/13 - NOA2 from TSC! (173 days from NOA1) | 7/6/13 - Hard Copy Received
7/18/13 - Shipped to NVC | 7/26/13 - Received at NVC and case number assigned
7/29/13 - In transit to consulate | 7/31/13 - Received by consulate
8/20/13 - Medical - Passed | 8/21/13 - Interview - Approved!
8/28/13 - Passport with visa ready to pickup from courier
10/17/13 - POE - JFK
10/28/13 - Applied for SSN and marriage license | 11/2/13 - SS card received
11/21/13 - Wedding


12/30/13 - I485/I765/I131 Sent | 1/2/14 - Received by USCIS

Well Steve wrote our congressman and they replied saying

"I called the Texas Service Center and our liaison explained that they are having a hard time consolidating the files that need to be sent to the NVC. However, she was going to sent an e-mail to the department that handles it and believes that the file will be pulled and hopefully have it sent to the NVC by tomorrow."

Thanks for this post Azsara. I showed it to my congressman and his rep. sent me this back

"Thank you for making me aware of that! I called over to my liaison at the TSC who confirmed that your file wasn’t shipped yet but she is going to send an email to the records unit to get it shipped ASAP. I’m going to call her again in a week to confirm it got sent.

I apologize for the delay, I haven’t had this happen before and was under the impression it was shipped already."

I encourage everyone who has been waiting for a case number to have their congressmen and senators call TSC because they are clearly having issues getting the files out the door.

Azsara let us know what happens with your case.

December 31, 2012: Petition received

January 2, 2013: NOA1

January 8, 2013: Officially engaged <3

May 30, 2013 : Transferred VSC to TSC

June 26, 2013 (175 days) : NOA2

July 22, 2013 (26 days) : Sent to NVC

July 30, 2013 : Arrived at NVC

July 30, 2013 (8 days) : Received case number

August 9, 2013 : Fiance received packet 3

August 15, 2013 : Medical

September 26, 2013 : Interview : AP additional medical information needed

October 11, 2013 : 2nd Medical appointment

October 31, 2013: 2nd Medical report picked up by Embassy courier

November 21, 2013: 2nd Medical report received and our case with with an officer for review

January 17, 2014: Refused (found inadmissible)

Filing a waiver to lift the inadmissibility....

Yesterday my case was In transit. I tried to track my case today and it says Your search did not return any data.????

You can only track your case once you have your case # from the NVC. You cannot track your case with your receipt number.

I got Case number from NVC and yesterday it stated 'In transit', before that stated 'At NVC', not nothing. it is not receipt number its NVC case number.

ok. The day is still young so lets hopefully by the close of day, something positive should pop up for you. Best of wishes and good luck.

Does it work right for you, have you tried to check your status?

Nop. Waiting for my case number. Called and was told they are now generating case # so i should get my case number early next week
