What steps would you take if it takes too long for them to send your case to NVC and NVC to Embassy and your approval is almost expired? Would you contact USCIS in that case or who?

Has this happened to anyone, and if yes, What did they do to get more approval time to complete everything if it was not their fault and have their interview?

Ok so my Fiance called again and told to wait for 8weeks but the representative told him to call on July 19 (that would be a month after our NOa2) guess they are really have lots of application. Just be positive dear friends, this is more tolerable than what we went trhough in waiting for NOA2. Cheers!

I personally think they sent the TSC files out in batches of two weeks...and the first batch will be there sometime before 30 days from NOA2.

And yes, this is so unfair to us TSC people, we have been unfairly penalized and delayed every step of this journey. The Dec filers at VSC (Texas step children) have waited over six months for the NOA2, and now are delayed from getting to NVC. When will we get the same treatment as the CSC filers have gotten? It looks like another hurdle is placed in our way. cray5ol.gif

I hope I am right and it's just a 30 day delay. ClockWatch2.gifClockWatch2.gif

I was just told 8 weeks. #######. I'm going to explode.

hi there Dustin and Janen, we have the same NOA2 date June 13 I'm so frustrated and it kinda ruined my day today having to hear the 8 weeks waiting period. This is completely ridiculous!!! Our waiting seems to be never ending:(

They didn't say the waiting period IS 8 weeks they said it's UP TO 8 weeks. Which could be anything between a few days to 8 weeks. I agree with Zooropa - Texas probably sent 2 weeks of approvals to NVC last friday and we're gonna hear end of next or the following week. We still can be happy to be one step closer and not have to wait for our second noa approval ....

So I'm just wondering - if once we do receive our Case Number - can we theoretically go ahead and send our DS-2001 and DS-230 to the embassy if we're ready to go! I mean before even receiving your packet three? I need to cut out some weeks in this process if I'm gonna get this done before our deadline... crying.gif

hi z -- I called the DOS number again - I've only called twice but each time they are super nice. He said my case hasn't been received by the NVC yet and confirmed they do it in batches as it has to go in very secure transit - sounded like it wasn't your typical UPS/Fed ex.

I explained that people who have called NVC were told up to 8 weeks and he said yes, that seems like a long time and that it probably would not be anywhere near that long - and that they would prefer people call the DOS number where they can see the bigger picture and it's a call center there for that reason to answer any questions..he said the NVC really only want to talk to people who have a change of address or something like that directly related to the step they are working on...

for now, I'm just going to keep calling the DOS line - it's a bit less convenient because it's only during business hours but they seem to be helpful. This process is just so frustrating that all the transfers do not seem to have seen any numbers yet. grr.
