I was just told 8 weeks. #######. I'm going to explode.

Yeah, I mean, from 15 business days to 8 weeks is a HUGE difference. This process just gets more and more frustrating all the time. Le sigh.

Ah, ok. Thanks for clearing that up. It seemed from that post that it would have been impossible for it to get from USCIS to NVC to the embassy in 3 days (which I still think is record time!) but now that I know the embassy gives the case number to the NVC, it makes more sense. They could theoretically contact you without the case having even arrived yet, since they'll obviously have to be in contact with NVC before the case is sent to them.

Might we also hope that 8 week thing is misinformation? no0pb.gif (more wishful thinking)

It's probably just a buffer since they have been bottlenecked with all the TSC transfers, and even the CSC approvals before that, noticing a slowdown of sorts. It doesn't end there either. I do know that many of those CSC approvals had a hard time finding timely interview dates with some embassies afterwards due to the massive approvals as well.

I'm guessing you'll get your number within the next few weeks.

Dont listen to anything the NVC says!!

They just want you to stop calling because they probably go through hundreds of calls everyday per operator

Okay, here's my latest update and my 2 centavos on this. Just checked the CEAC website and this is what I got.

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

So it looks like my case is now on the way to the embassy?

Just FYI, my NOA2 also said that my case was "forwarded to the listed consulate".

Yes, they all are, just think of the USCIS as the sender, the NVC as the post office, and the consulate as the destination.

Wherever it actually is at the moment doesn't really matter though, seeing that your case will be sent to the Philippines. If you have the number assigned then you can go ahead and pay the fee and schedule the interview, as well as get started on all the requirements. The embassy will have the packet by the time of the interview, which, based on current calendar slot availability, will be a month from now at the earliest.

Well there are several cases of it taking 8 weeks or more for people to get the number. I'm determined that I will get my number this week.

Tomorrow there will be a lot of phone calls made. This is unacceptable.

I sure hope so! :) Luckily for us (or maybe unluckily?) our consulate schedules the interview automatically once the packet 3 is sent back, and there are way less pending applications in the Netherlands that many other countries, but I imagine that will be the next headache for those of you fighting for interview slots!

So... yes, let's try and stay positive. I notice I'm turning into a bit of a grump on here today. Maybe it's time to take a little VJ break and fantasize about my fiance being here with me :).

Yeah, it's hard to not get grumpy about it at times, due to the long wait times for every step. I manage by always reminding myself to expect the worst, and hope for the best. My fiance and I were and still are prepared for the long wait from the beginning. Also she constantly reminds me through her behavior to just enjoy our moments together, even if from afar, as that is after all how we fell in love. She never allows me to dwell on the wait or get down about it. Our time together will come eventually. We just need to be patient.

And actually, I prefer that we are able to set our own interview time, becasue then I can be assured of being there with her for the interview. If it were automatically assigned, this would simply not be possible for me. Perhaps that is why our embassy does this (high fraud consulate) and yours doesn't (low fraud rate consulate), as it is more imperative that the couple goes together to prove the bonafide nature of the relationship in a high fraud embassy.

Positive Vibes sent to all of you form NYC! Happy fourth mmmmmm BBQS

NVC is def working on the other centers for what i can see. I think Texas will just send the huge pile in. So well see when those approvals start rolling in.

Those of you stuck on the wording someone here said it does not matter where it is if you do not have your number its useless and i agree.

In Honduras they booked all of July already bummer..... even though i am as ecstatic as anyone else to be with my BFF I myself see this going into Sept. Its ok though, I am super califragilisticspealidoucious excited to even be moving along that wait for NOA2 is the wooorsstttttt.

There is a spanish saying that when something is for you even if you hide from it its yours! And when something is NOT for you even if you force it won't be.

HAPPY MONDAY

HAPPYJULY

HAPPY JOURNEY

XOXOXOXOXO

Yes in earlier posts in this area someone from Texas approved on the 10th and the 13th got their case number in 16 straight days ...not working days.... The question to ask is are they forwarding them instantly to the consulate after assigned case numbers or sending those in batches too ....

I am learning to dislike the word batches now .... Lol!!!!!

I was told from USCIS that they are sent in batches to NVC but nothing they say has much credibility after getting transferred and now this... :(
