202 6631225. I was on hold for one minute!!!!!

ugh sorry you are waiting so long Angelina. :(

that's the number I called today and only waited a minute.

I love my fiance - you hit "1' and then "0" on that line. :)

that are great news! congrats smile.png

Thank you, It's exhilarating to think how much faster things will start moving now that it's at NVC.

Great news! smile.png congrats! I called DOS today and they don't have my file yet....but based on your timeline, I would be hoping for Thursday but that's a holiday. dang.

Anyone know if they are also off on Friday, the 5th? My company is open because the stock market is open...

Federal offices should be open on Friday, of course you can bet that many of the workers are going to be taking vacation/personal days that Friday to get the longer weekend. It will likely affect quantity of work completed, although It's impossible to tell if it will be affected in a large way or a minimal way. Hopefully a lot of those waiting will get into the system by Wednesday and will be able to relax a little over the weekend.

yeah, seriously!! I calculated NVC with 3-4 weeks everything is better than USCIS. The timeline average of my embassy is from Noa2-interview 52 days and I hope I can fly August 30. I'm positive and happy not having to deal with USCIS anymore!!

Just wanted to stop by and say hello to you guys !! I know many of you got approved within last 30 days and some are still waiting to get the NVC #. We just got approved this morning (e-mail notification and status change on USCIS website), no hard copy of NO2 yet. I will give it one week to receive hard copy.

I really hope we start getting our numbers so we can start planning our lives ahead.

Congrats to all of you guys ! We have made it this far, we will get through this together :).

I called NVC at 12:25 pm Eastern Time Very busy!

They still don't have my case. I asked her (Lisa) what is the average time that it takes for USCIS to send the cases to you guys (NVC). SHE SAID 8 WEEKS!!!

So I asked... What is the whole thing about 15 business days????

She responded: THAT INFORMATION IS OLD... WE ARE NOT GIVING THIS INFORMATION OUT ANYMORE BECAUSE USCIS OFFICES ARE TAKING TOO LONG TO SEND THE CASES TO US NOW DAYS. WE GIVE THEM UP TO 8 WEEKS TO SEND THESE CASES IN...

I was like huh... OKAY... 0_o you should tell your supervisors to have all of you guys say the same thing. Respectfully... because I was told 15 days.

If you call USCIS... all they will probably say is that they send cases off in batches so they have no way of tracking when your case has been sent off...

I guess this will be a new guessing, waiting game like the VSC transfers... I was one of them...

I wil try the DOS number hope this is much faster to ease the impatience...

You can find the NVC contact information here:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

I'll paste what is pertinent to your question from that page:

BTW, it says you need names and dates of birth, but I have yet to be asked for more than my USCIS number, of course they haven't received my case yet, so perhaps they don't ask for more information from you until they actually have something to tell you

I don't believe they will ask for names & DOB until they actually have your case and therefore have that information to verify, once your case is in their system, they should ask.

Edit: Aww, I see you did get your case number, congrats! dancin5hr.gif

Yes I did get it, thank you. Your post reminded me, that yes, this time when I gave them my case number, She replaced the old response of "it's not in our system yet...." with "What is the full name and date of birth of the beneficiary" After I told her, she asked for the same information for the petitioner. She then read back my email address and phone number. I asked if that meant they would email notifications now and she said yes and asked if I wanted to give them the beneficiary email as well, so I did. Very pleasant and was on and off the call (after the standard hold time) in about 2 minutes.

nice! Guess ill have to wait a week or so to try and call them but I already sent them an email to see just in case. I'll call that number before this weekend.

Thanks again!

I emailed them on June 17th and just got a response this morning. Of course saying they have no record of my case. aghh. So, I wouldn't expect a fast response from email.

Seems to me that these cases are having a slow time going from TSC to the NVC. Perhaps they don't know how to do it as efficiently as the other two service centers yet. Just a guess.

Has anyone contacted TSC (or USCIS) to see what their excuse is for having transferred 0 cases to the NVC yet? My worry about calling in general is that since it says on my NOA2 that the case will be forwarded to the listed consulate (no consulate listed, btw) that they won't talk to me and tell me to contact the consulate instead. I'm not sure a response of "...but on Visa Journey I can see that Netherlands cases have to go through the NVC first" will be good enough to get some answers. Anyone else have that wording on their NOA2, but expect to be sent to NVC? Is there a chance I'm wrong about that?

I don't know there are some Texas folks who got their case numbers in 16 straight days

Oh really? Sorry, I'm not sure why I thought none of the TSC cases had gotten to NVC yet...

Yes in earlier posts in this area someone from Texas approved on the 10th and the 13th got their case number in 16 straight days ...not working days.... The question to ask is are they forwarding them instantly to the consulate after assigned case numbers or sending those in batches too ....

Oh really? Sorry, I'm not sure why I thought none of the TSC cases had gotten to NVC yet...

I am learning to dislike the word batches now .... Lol!!!!!
