My fiance just got an e-mail response from the CAO (Customer Assistance Office) at USCIS, in response to our complaint to the White House about waiting for our NOA2.. USCIS responded directly to us saying they investigated our case on behalf of President Obama (oops.. lol) and in response to our enquiry, they found that our case was approved and transferred to the NVC.

So Obama's people were getting onto USCIS chasing up our case a month after our NOA2 and they're like "We've done your NOA2 and sent it off, we appreciate your patience". =o Gosh. Lol.

Oh NO!! you wrote the "O" word. Now NSA, CIA, FBI, ATF, DHS, WHO, IS7, KGB, and god only knows who else is going to be watching you!!

I know exactly what you are talking about. Waited 5 months to receive a notice that the case has been transferred to TSC from VSC and then waited another month to get approved and now going into a third week after approval and the case still is sitting with USCIS. No idea what we are paying for. I have sent an e-mail yesterday to NVC inquiry and NVC Research and have yet to hear back anything. I am in process of contacting our Congressman and Senator. May be you should try that too, although not sure if they will be of any help...

My timeline:

-Our petition was approved on May 29 and they said that NVC should receive within 15 business days.

-I contacted NVC June 17 and they told me to send an email to nvcresearch.

-July 3 I received an email response from NVD saying that it takes up to 8 weeks. I immediately made the call to USCIS and they said that as of June 17 the case was still at L.A. local office. On the same day I contacted my congressman about my case.

-The congress' aide contacted me last friday (July 12) that USCIS just mailed it to NVC.

So I don't even know what the actual processing time is. Not sure why some reps at NVC said 15 while DOS website and the email response I got from NVC was 8 weeks.

Waiting sucks and I feel you guys...

NOA2 June 21, Shipped to Department of State on July 11. I called around 6pm today and still "Your case is not in our system yet. It takes 8 weeks."

This "8 weeks" thins is complete nonsense. I'm hoping that the July 11 transfers will get their NVC case numbers soon. We may be next....

Congrats again vazpayne - so glad things are finally moving quickly for you! You are such a sweet person - best of luck to you and your fiance! :)

If you look in my signature, you can see my timeline. Basically the last email I received was telling my I was approved. My USCIS status message has not changed since then and my case was transferred to NVC where they assigned it a number and sent it to London, where they received it and sent out a letter with instructions on where to get the documents on line and to fill them out and send them in (well she got that letter not me). The hardest part was getting it out of USCIS hands. Once NVC had it and assigned the number, it was sent out in a few days and was in London a week later. A few days after that was the receipt of the packet 3 letter.

I think once NVC receives your file and assigns your number, things will be SO MUCH smoother for you.

Just wanted to thank you for trying to answer everyone's questions in here today. :)
