So we finally received an email from the embassy in Tunis but now I'm really confused. This is what the message states at first:

Dear Madam, Sir,

Please find in attachment all the necessary information concerning your file TNSXXXXXXXXXX. Please send us the DS-230 by email; please bring the rest of the documents on the day of the interview. As soon as we get the DS-230, we will schedule an appointment. The payment fee – 350 USD or 500 TND must be done at the Consular Section.

https://evisaforms.state.gov/DS156_French.asp

U.S Embassy, Tunis

Consular Section

And of course there are a bunch of attachments. We haven't received anything in the mail yet but this doesn't mention anything about sending via mail; just the ds-230 via email. So first of all, I'm confused because the directions in the K1 application attached state to send the DS-156 (2 copies), DS-156K, DS-157, DS-2001, and DS-230 back to them via post before the interview, but this says to just send the DS-230 via email. It says read the directions clearly and follow them but how can I when they're different? unsure.png

Secondly, it says the fee is $350 but I thought it was $240!! Is this correct? How much should he take?

And thirdly, the medical attachment they sent looks like this:

Medical Examination

Immigrant visa applicants are required to have forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026 filled out by the physician approved by the consular section. The following physicians have been approved by:

Embassy Tunis: (for all applicants)

Dr. Solange Laroussi:

58 Avenue des Londres, Tunis

Tel: 00216-71254435 or 00216-71343753 or 00216-98323237

For applicants who are fifteen or older a chest x-ray and blood analysis is required.

Radiologist

- Centre Gamma de Radiologie

44 Avenue de la Liberte, Tunis, Tunisia

Tel: 71-841-086 or 71-795-477

Blood Analysis

- Dr. Md. Ali Bougatef: 110 Avenue de Londres, Tunis, Tunisia

Tel: 71-339-957 or 71-254-005

- L’Institut Pasteur de Tunis : Place Pasteur, Tunis, Tunisia

Does he have to provide those forms himself when he goes to the examination? Also, he's obviously over 15, so does that mean he needs to go to three different doctors with three different exams?

Someone please clarify this for me!helpsmilie.gif

Every embassy is different. I had to send the ds230 via email wich I did and that allowed my embassy in Jamaica to schedule the interview once they revived the ds230. All the other forms listed has to be hand carried to the embassy at time of interview. I recommend you email your embassy for clarity. As for the medical yes your instructions show he has to go to all three doctors for medical blood work and X-ray unfortunately.

Looks like they sent an old form letter and never bothered to update the info. That is very confusing for people. You should contact them to let them know they are sending out incorrect information. The visa processing fee was lowered to $240 quite some time ago.

I'm waiting on packet 3 and confirmed with someone else that the fee is $240. Don't worry about that. I've seen the email they sent and it has several outdated forms attached. Email them the ds-230 and print the rest to bring to the interview. I may get all the updated forms online instead of using their old ones. Bring the multiple copies listed online as necessary. Our NOa 2 was may tenth -_- seems like they skipped right over us... Good luck to you anyway

yes just email the ds 230 but he also needs to bring a copy of it with him to the interview... it doesn't say it in the instructions but that's what happened to us and they rescheduled him bc of that one form....I emailed the ds230 and the next day we had an interview date scheduled for a week later so before you email make sure you have your police certificate and anything else you need... I also emailed them about the fee it is $240 they told me it is an outdated email...
