I had to reschedule my fingerprint appointment, just sent the letter to USCIS for rescheduling last week.

How long does it take for the USCIS to send me a new fingerprint appointment?

Depends greatly on the biometrics centre you were assigned to. There is currently a thread for someone who has waited more than a month in the Milwaukee area, if I remember right, and has considered an Infopass appointment. You might want to do a search on it.

My rule of thumb: wait 30 days for correspondence. If nothing happens, see whether you can take your letter to the biometrics centre (in advance of the date if at all possible) with your green card and other requested ID, and ask politely for an expedited appointment. It helps to go as soon as they open with this strategy and be polite.

Did you try to do a walk in/early biometrics appointment? Some service centers allow early biometrics so you don't have to go through the hassle/delay of rescheduling.

There's an applicant on this site had requested to be rescheduled around March and is still waiting for a new date.

If its worth a shot, go to your ASC and try to do a walk in bio.

Try the walk-in bio if you are close to anASC. If you are not, then wait until 30 days and call the customer service number. The general advice is to try and avoid rescheduling appointments during the N400 process as much as you can.

Yes, definitely try a walk in. I am the one waiting (three months so far) for the new appt. If I was close to my local office I would have tried already, but having to miss work, drive 3 hrs each way and the chance of be turned down, is not very motivating.

Just wondering what happened to Pucca23, if you did the early walk in or got a new date. Here I am FOUR months after requesting my new date, and still nothing. I thought my country's bureaucracy was the worse in the world, I guess not any more! I can not believe they "punish" you this way, for daring to have other life commitments. I won't be able to do anything till the end of September, then more waiting. What a joke!
