Question about i-864 form

This is about the Part 5. Sponsor's Household Size

I married my husband abroad, but I myself am dependent on my mother (who is my joint sponsor)

1) I fill out an i-864 as does she, but for my household size, I know I do not count someone twice, so I count my husband on line #1, not #3, correct?

2) Do I also put add in my mother in #7 since she combining her income w mine as my joint sponsor? Or is this for petitioners that are using their dependents as a form of income? (Because I thought that since I am married now, by law, I am considered independent and have my own household size with my husband. But, since I am still dependent on her, I count in her household size, since she claims me as her dependent? Therefore, she adds me in #7 on her i-864 form but I do not add her on mine).

Any thoughts???

Much appreciated!!

Okay, I actually believe I found the answer by re-reading the instructions of the i864. I believe my household size would be 3: my husband, myself, and my mother. Her household size on her form would then of course be different, having other dependents though. Any for the first question, I would put my husband in #1, not #3, since I am of course, supporting him.

Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong..

If anyone else has the same or similar question, I'll put the answer:

"Your household size includes yourself and the following individuals, no matter where they live: any spouse, any

dependent children under the age of 21, any other dependents listed on your most recent Federal income tax return, all
persons being sponsored in this affidavit of support, and any immigrants previously sponsored with a Form I-864 or
Form I-864 EZ, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act, whom you are still obligated to support. If
necessary to meet the income requirements to be a sponsor, you may include additional relatives (adult children,
parents, or siblings) as part of your household size as long as they have the same principle residence as you and
promise to use their income and resources in support of the intending immigrant(s)."

What I would do for you is NOT combine income with your mother unless you don't meet the requirements individually. You both would file an I-864. She would have to count you on her household size because she claims you as a dependent but you do not have to claim her on your household size.
